Mindfulness for Kids with ADHD by Debra Burdick Review + Giveaway

I received a copy of this been from New Harbinger Publications

Mindfulness for Kids with ADHD is a book that provides exercises to help children with ADHD gain self-awareness and self-reflection. It is filled with tools to help parents, therapist, and teachers give children the ability to help them regulate emotions and improve concentrations, hyperactivity, behavior, stress level, and relationships.

My Take:
This book is a true gift to any one who works with children with ADHD. So many of the activities focus on helping a child to better understand themselves and why they are feeling the way that they are. I have found that I have started using many of these activities in my daily life as a teacher. I have found that these activities help children to understand and work out why they are feeling the way they are helping them to become more focused and concentrated. I have been so pleased by this book and all I have learned from it!

  2. My 8 year old son has ADHD and Behavior Disorder. I just realized that I am constantly yelling at him to be more aware of others and their feelings. I need to learn how to communicate with my son because clearly I am failing him. I’m glad that I now know of a book that can help us!
