Ahhhhh, the time has come to travel to your next destination! But, where will that be? That’s a great question of course, and it is one that we want to help you find the answer to. Here are a few of our top tips to help you make the big decision.
See if you can drive somewhere
One of the best ways to travel is by car or RV on a road trip. So, before you book a flight, see if there are any new places nearby you that you haven’t fully explored yet. Any campsites nearby to camp at? Or, what about a national landmark? You will be surprised what could be right in your backyard and all you have to do is take a short drive to see its greatness. This will also help you to save some money by cutting out the possibility of having a flight expense. And, if you rent an RV, you aren’t paying for a hotel either. This is a great way to see the country, and not break the bank
Check your travel points
You may not know where you want to travel, so why not let your travel points decide for you? See how many you have accumulated and where that will get you. It may take you somewhere you haven’t been or hadn’t even thought to go! Which means you are in for an adventure, which is really the fun of traveling, right? If your points can’t book you a full flight, see if they will be able to book you one way, or at least cover part of the cost.
Find a good hotel deal
Ok, so finding a hotel deal isn’t always easy, but when you find a good one, you are on top of the world. So, how do people do it? How do they find the best deal out there? Well, they most likely use a website to compare hotel deals, and then choose the best one from there! You can see prices, dates available, and what amenities there are to offer, all while comparing them to others. This guarantees that you are getting the best deal possible!
Think about where you have friends
Alright, so if you are really in a pinch for money and need a place to crash for cheap, or you would like someone to show you around your next destination, then take a moment to sit down and research who you know and where they live. Do you have that friend from college who moved to Europe for work? Or maybe you have that cousin who moved down south with her partner? Either way, check and see who you know and see how comfortable you would be asking them to show you around, or to at least make a list of must-sees. This will help you cut down on costs, which will make it easier to decide to go there.
Evaluate what traveling means to you
The reason why we bring this one up, is because traveling can mean different things to different people. Yes, everyone sees it as leaving your home and going somewhere different. But we mean what is it that you want to do when you travel? Sightsee, relax, meet new people? When you know the why behind your travels, you will be able to better decide where to go next. If you are wanting to get better at surfing, maybe you should head to Hawaii or Australia. If you want to visit the northern lights, think about choosing Iceland. Or if you want to do absolutely nothing but lay on a beach or by the pool all day, you might want to head to Fiji or Mexico. Once you figure out what you want out of your trip, the decision will come to you pretty easily.
No matter where you choose, we hope you enjoy yourself and make memories to last a lifetime!
