Do you remember the awesome down comforter/pillow giveaway from Pluma Down a while back?  It is by far one of my most favorite things I have ever reviewed.  I now have the distinct pleasure of showcasing Pluma Down’s Turkish Bamboo Towels.   First a little about Pluma Down:

Turkish Bamboo Towels:

towel

Luxurious bamboo towels are made from pure natural bamboo fiber.  Bamboo towels are spectacular, elegant, and ultra soft. Additionally, these towels have unique properties such as the antibacterial qualities characteristic of bamboo fibers.

The specifications of the Bamboo towels are a weight of 700 grams per square meter and loops comprised of 60% bamboo and 40% combed cotton. Another quality of the bamboo fiber is its high absorbency, bamboo fibers absorb substantially more moisture than cotton.

  • Rated as “The Best Towel” by The Wall Street Journal
  • Sold in sets
  • Available in 20 colors
  • Machine wash and tumble dry

My take:  I now have a new appreciation for bamboo…these towels are simply wonderful.  This is my first experience with bamboo towels and I now understand what all the hype is about.  I received 2 towel sets (each included 2 washcloths, 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels) in the colors of kiwi and cobalt.  I immediately noticed how luxurious, soft, and heavy each towel was.  I was thrilled to note that the towels and machine wash and tumble dry so I can throw them into the wash with the rest of my laundry.  I have been using these towels regularly and have noticed no color fading.

The real test of course was after my bath or shower.  In the past whenever I use the big, thick fluffy towels I have had to apply deep pressure to get the water absorbed and unfortunately I usually had to use multiple swipes before my skin was totally dry.   With the Pluma Down Turkish Bamboo Towels the water was quickly and effortlessly absorbed in the towel and my skin was left feeling silky smooth.   I still can’t get over how soft these towels are…I have yet to share them with my children because I know we will all be fighting over them!

Once again, Pluma Down has received my MommyPR seal of approval!

Pluma Down is generously offering 2 lucky MommyPR readers their very own Turkish Bamboo Towel Set (includes 2 washcloths, 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels)!  RV: $129.00

  1. I would love to have two sets of the Toronto Bedding Collection sheets in Twin XL. Too bad they don’t make it in the size I need. I looked through a few of the sets, and only found one in Twin (not XL). It would be helpful if these sites would let you sort by size.
