Piggy Paint Review & Giveaway

After having two boys I am now entering the magical world of girl land where glitter, sparkles and pretty things abound.  Can you tell that I am excited!!  I recently had the opportunity to do some pampering with my little girl and we had a blast trying out all the great colors in the Piggy Paint collection.

As natural as mud, and just as much fun to play with, Piggy Paint is a non-toxic, kid-friendly, virtually odorless, water-based line of nail polishes.  Now, little girls can safely get the look of a big girl manicure, without exposure to harsh chemical ingredients or fumes. Piggy Paint comes in a rainbow of fancy colors with fanciful names, ready to wear for special occasions or to brighten an ordinary day.

We reviewed the Color Me Happy Gift Set:

Color Me Happy

My take:  Our girl time is when the boys are in school and ever since I have applied that first coat of nail polish, she has been hooked!  She is 19 months old and definitely has very set preferences., she wants a different color on each toenail and if I try to choose the color she tells me “no” accompanied with a very vigorous head shake.  Instead I line all the bottles up and she chooses each color.  Now because she is so wiggly I have found the best way to apply the toenail polish is to have her sitting in her high chair.  She does fine with me painting her fingernails while she sits in my lap.  In fact I get to pick the colors for her fingernails!!

A great tip to ensure maximum dryness and chip resistance is to use  a hair dryer to dry polish for one minute with warm heat/low setting.  She loves the hair dryer and always sits so still while it dries.  I also try to incorporate learning colors and counting when painting her nails.  We count each finger and toe and I also repeat the color’s name while applying.  This one on one girly time makes both of us grin.  It is so cute to catch her checking out the nail colors during random times throughout the day, when she is walking, eating or pointing out something of interest.  The vibrant, gorgeous colors just demand her attention!

When my boys got home this week and looked at our gorgeous nails they decided to join in the fun and get their toenails painted as well.  My oldest even let his sister pick out the colors!

By far, my most favorite aspect of Piggy Paint is how safe it is to use on my daughter.  I love their slogan as natural as mud because those harsh smelling chemical nail polishes that adults use are never getting close to my baby.  Instead I choose Piggy Paint which puts a smile on her face every time!

Remember that Piggy Paint is available at select Walmart stores and walmart.com so the next time you are shopping be sure to pick up a few bottles and that special princess in your life will thank you!  Here is a 20% off promo code for www.piggypaint.com.
