Murad Skincare Review & Giveaway

I have heard great things about Murad Skincare from friends so I knew they were a company I wanted to contact for a review.  First a little about Murad:

I received 5 products from Murad:

1)  Active Radiance Serum:   This clinically proven, environmental aging treatment protects and repairs skin with a remarkable new Vitamin C technology that delivers 50 times the free radical neutralizing power of prior generations. This unique formula provides superior all-day protection against environmental aggressors that assault skin every day. Active Radiance Serum helps to restore tone and smooth texture and is clinically proven to improve skin firmness by up to 64% in just 15 minutes.  ($89)

Primary Benefits:

  • Improves natural radiance and clarity
  • Smoothes skin to restore youthful texture and tone

My Take:  I felt the tightening in my skin 10 minutes after application.  Really like the light citrus scent.

2)  Intensive Wrinkle Reducer for Eyes:  specifically formulated for the delicate eye area, reduces the appearance of crow’s feet, improves skin firmness and illuminates the eye area for a more youthful appearance. This breakthrough formula features Murad’s latest revolutionary anti-aging technology, Durian Cell Reform™ which enhances the penetration of active anti-aging ingredients.  ($90)

Primary Benefits:

  • Increases firmness by 40% after just 10 minutes
  • Resurfaces delicate eye area without irritation

My take:   After 2 weeks of using this product, I am a firm believer in it.  After the first treatment I noticed a tightening around my eyes and now after 2 weeks I can see a visible difference in my crow’s feet.

3)  Essential-C Day Moisture SPF 30: Increased Vitamin C power and SPF in Essential-C Day Moisture SPF 30 provide powerful protection against environmental damage. Next generation Vitamin C and the patented Skin Repair System improve radiance, firmness and elasticity.  ($60)

Primary Benefits:

  • Blocks UVA/UVB rays to prevent sun and free radical damage
  • Improves skin’s barrier function to maintain optimal hydration

My take:   I used this in place of my daily moisturizer- kept my skin soft all day.

4)  Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15:   Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 reduces shine on contact and keeps skin free of excess oil by up to 78% for 8 hours. Oil-Control Complex helps regulate oil production while preserving moisture to provide a long-lasting matte finish. ($39.50)

Primary Benefits:

  • Reduces excess oil by up to 78% for 8 hours
  • Eliminates shine on contact

My take:   I don’t have oily skin but gave this to a friend who said it took her “shine” away all day.

5)  Pomegranate Exfoliating Masks:   This weekly treatment frees skin of dull, dry surface cells to restore brightness and smooth texture while Pomegranate Extract provides powerful antioxidant protection.  (6 treatments $22.50)

Primary Benefits:

• Dissolves tired cells and frees skin’s surface of trapped impurities
• Softens, conditions and hydrates

My take:   Love the smell, directions say to leave on for at least 10-15 minutes so not a good idea when you have your children awake 🙂  Be aware that it takes alot of warm water to wash off…works great though
