Wrist Assured™ Gloves Review and Giveaway

wristevert

I am sure there is no doubt that 99% of us made New Year resolutions to work out. If your like me, by now you are feeling the pain of those Yoga or Pilate moves right in your wrists. I especially notice wrist pain on the days when I am doing a couple of push ups (yes just a couple…don’t want to show you up). When I am supporting my body weight with my hands, I would rather die because it just hurts and for the rest of the day not just until the move is done.

I have been super excited to review WAGs Wrist Assured™ Gloves.  I have never tried any type of wrist support before because I have been too busy making fun of my husband who uses a wrist brace and claims his pain goes away when he is wearing the restrictive wrist support..I was laughing until I tried on the WAGs Pro. I slipped on the half finger gloves and jumped down into a downward facing dog (so maybe there was a bit more involved) and then moved easily into plank. I have to tell you right up front…I didn’t realize how bad my wrists hurt until they didn’t hurt anymore. Sounds silly, but WAGs Pro gloves are super cool. They remind me of the late 80′s early 90′s fashion (I don’t need to revisit that), so I am not wearing them out in public shopping at the grocery store…although if I was super cool I would.

I love the fact that WAGs are easy to use. I just pull them on and I am ready to go. There is no wrapping or adjusting. They are non slip, machine washable (a big plus), made out of comfortable and breathable mesh Lycra (just like your underwear…except the mesh part, hopefully), and a great part for our family is they are 100% latex free. They come in 4 fitted sizes XS, S, M, L. It was very easy to find the right size because you can just print out the hand cart or measure according to the guidelines. They are reasonably priced at just $59.95 and come with a 30 day money back guarantee. Seriously why not give them a whirl?!

If you need maximum support WAGs also comes in an ultra supportive style, WAG’s Wrap. It features an elastic wrist wrap with Velcro closure for ultimate support, comfort and a few more bells and whistles you’ll have to check out for yourself here. Both pairs come with a mesh carrying pouch that you can air dry your gloves in and stash a few more goodies like keys and ID.

Let’s get a bit more technical about these Wrist Assured™ Gloves. These gloves were invented by an Occupational Therapist, Paula Wilbert. Many yoga and Pilates poses require you to support all or a portion of your body weight with your hands and these gloves have ergonomically designed gel padding enclosed in a fitted, non-slip glove combines comfort and stability. You can read more in depth information on the ergonomics of WAGs here.

So there you have it…I love these gloves for fitness use. The only complaint I can think of…My husband really wants a pair, but he isn’t fond of the purple label. I am sure he’ll get over it once he experiences the benefits of WAGs for himself.

What? You want a pair? You can buy WAGs Pro for $59.99 or WAGs Wrap $64.95 with 30 day money back guarantee.

Hi I am MNMSpecial (www.mnmspecial.com) I am a On The Go Mom (OTGM) of three (I would say stay at home, but I am barely there!) I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 9yrs. I am a PTA member at my older kids school, MOPS Activity Director for the moms, a consultant for a direct sales company, and just starting out as a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, and I also sit on a few boards for other committees in town. Whew!!! My older kids keep me running in all the fun things and the baby keeps me on my toes with her fun things. I have moved over 13 times since being married to my husband, who recently finished his time in the AIR FORCE and is now working for the ARMY.

I learned that the contoured gel pad is extremely durable, resilient and will retain its’ shape for the life of the glove.

I discovered that the V shaped cut out eliminates pressure on the median nerve where it crosses the wrist. I have experienced a great deal of wrist pain because of pressure on the median nerve. This could be my solution.

I learned that the pad is contoured to the palm with a built in arch support to cradle and hold your hand in place.
