Moms Into Fitness Review and Giveaway


If you are like me you would love to get into shape, but it might not be that easy to get to the gym. Our YMCA only has childcare during specific hours and very little workers to man the pit. I know I don’t feel comfortable leaving my sweet baby there and the hours available don’t work for me.
I have been so excited about finding Moms Into Fitness (MIF). Finally a real mom workout line by a real mom! Lindsay Brin, C.P.T. & B.S.E. Exercise Science, is a fitness and nutrition expert, and a former NFL cheerleader. For nearly fifteen years, she’s been helping women achieve healthier bodies and minds. She started MIF in 2005 and has released new DVD’s every year since. She is also a fitness expert for Fit Pregnancy and Mom & Baby Magazines. She has just authored 2 books due out in 2010 and 2011.

I was able to review a couple of DVDs to get me back into my favorite jeans (maybe a bit outdated since I wore them last in 2001). Since I have been on and off the surgery table since having my first baby and being in shape has not really happened and I am on number 3 now. I figured the best place for me to start was with my CORE. After all you need your core muscles to be strong in order to do most mom things.
The great part about Core Metabolic Jupstart is a quick 23 minutes…my baby usually takes a mid morning cat nap that is 32 minutes long (I know sad I have it timed). I can pop this in shortly after I put her in her crib and fit in a 5 minute shower too. Perfect if you are as busy as I am. This workout works in Zones, so you are able to focus on more areas rather than one muscle at a time. I was able to feel a difference in my unshapely midsection in just a week. I will admit I am a bit lazy or out of structure (I am motivated). My goal is to work on getting things more scheduled. This workout is very efficient which makes it seem easy. There are different variations of all the exercises so no matter what fitness level you are at you can participate.
I also got a chance to try out the CFS Method. I am so glad I got this too. I was afraid I might be making more trouble for my mid section (before MIF) and I had been. Did you know that too much abdominal crunches can make a bigger belly? No wonder my stomach was never flat flat in high school! This video is a great add on (as I am using) or can be used in a 3 week tummy slim down. Who wouldn’t want a slimmer tummy in 3 weeks!

I can defiantly tell that I am on my way to getting a pre-baby body back. I am not as brave as Lindsay in taking pictures of myself (yet), but you can see how she did it on her blog. The pictures speak for themselves. It is just amazing to see her 12 week + picture diary. She has shared some very amazing stories about her struggles and successes. You can also become a fan on Facebook to stay up to date.
