A Sunny Day CD Review & Giveaway
Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to a new children’s recording artist: Julie K. I was given the opportunity to review her debut album titled “A Sunny Day”. First a little about Julie K:
I am the wife of a firefighter, mom to a a busy 5 year old boy and brand new children’s recording artist! My first CD, “Sunny Day” has eclectic melodies and playful lyrics that will inspire and delight both kids and grown-ups alike. I have most recently been the owner, director of Music Together of Peoria which is a music and movement program for young children.
For the pas five years, I have observed first hand how music can enhance and expand learning in children, especially if they participate with their parents or primary caregivers. From past research concerning infants and young children and how early music exposure can have a significant impact on language development, reading mastery and math competence, I believe musicians need to provide quality music for our littlest ones and this is what I am trying to do.
I wanted to create songs that are educational, interactive and engage the entire family. I will take you on a make believe adventure, have you counting in English and Spanish, flying high, going to the zoo and jumping like a jumping bean.
My take: This is a very cute CD that will have your children up and dancing around. We loved Goin’ to the Zoo, Jumpin’ Bean and The Train. I also like how Julie K incorporates Spanish in one of her songs.

“A Sunny Day” is a fabulous CD for children and families. The music is upbeat, easy to listen to (for the whole family), and engages my children. I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old. Every time we get in the car, they scream to hear Julie K’s CD! Their favorites are “A Sunny Day” and “Goin’ to the Zoo”. Highly recommend this to families with young children!

My favortie is Little Liza Jane.
We love this CD!!! I have 3 children, ages 5 and under, and this is the only CD that they allow me to play in our house/car. Their favorite songs are the Caterpillar, the Train, and Going to the Zoo. I highly recommend A Sunny Day!
A Sunny Day is the best children’s CD I have purchased!!! It is the only one that has my husband and I singing just as loud as the kids. My two year old sings and dances to all of the songs and begs to listen to it each time we get in the car! It is a must have!
Favorite song is Mister Birdie, This would make a wonder C’mas gift!
Mr. Birdie was a cute little song!
