Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream Review & Giveaway
New winner picked secondary to #18 not responding:

My skin is perpetually dry…no matter the season, the temp, it remains dry. With fall quickly approaching, the colder weather quickly drys out hands, cuticles, and caused chapped lips, etc. I am always on the lookout for moisturizing skin creams and today I want to introduce you to a company called Yu-Be. First a little about Yu-Be:

It was 1957 when a young pharmacist named Yoshikiyo Nowatari first introduced his now famous moisturizing cream to Japan. His creation was invented at the request of a woman long-suffering from dry, cracked skin. She was tired of using petroleum-based skin care products that she found to be greasy, messy and ineffective. With the help of a chemist and a special manufacturing process, he created a glycerin-based moisturizer that would go on to be one of the longest-selling skin care products in Japan and the #1 selling medicated, vitamin-enriched cream on the market.
Mr.Nowatari chose to sell his product as a “medicated” skin care cream so families would know it was for their use on tough, dry skin -as opposed to other “beauty”, “wrinkle” or “anti-aging” creams on the market. In the 50 years since it’s birth, this moisturizer has attracted and kept a massive and loyal customer base in Japan. Generations of families have used the concentrated formula on all types of dry skin – from split cuticles and cracked heels to diaper rash – even frostbite – and to this day refuse to use anything else.
What is Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream? Invented by a Japanese pharmacist, it is a Glycerin-based moisturizing cream enriched with Vitamin E, Vitamin B2, and Camphor. It’s the uniquely high Glycerin content and absorbability, achieved through a special manufacturing process in Japan, which makes Yu-Be so effective on severe and dry skin and truly sets it apart from other creams.
Yu-Be was kind enough to send me their entire line to review:

Yu-Be Foaming Skin Polish: ($18.00)
Fine grains of rice bran combine with bamboo and gentle cleansing agents to create a luxuriously foaming scrub that washes away dry skin. Extracts of ginger root and ginseng tone and balance the skin, while green tea, geranium oil and camphor provide a soothing, refreshing sensation.
My take: I really liked this product, a little goes along way and boy could I feel my skin tingle when I applied the Foaming Skin Polish.

Moisturizing Body Lotion: (10.25 oz pump $29.00)
Our glycerin formula with a unique blend of vitamin E, B2 and camphor provides ideal daily hydration and protection for many troublesome dry skin conditions. The perfect year-round, all-over body moisturizer.
- Smooth, easy-to-apply glycerin lotion helps hydrate, soothe and smooth dry, sensitive skin.
- Moisturizes and protects against dry skin during the cold months – then soothes sunburns and replenishes moisture in the summer. (Yu-Be does not contain SPF protection)
My take: If you like floral scents be warned this is not for you. I would describe the initial scent almost as medicinal but as it is quickly absorbs into the skin the medicine like smell goes away. My husband couldn’t detect the smell 3 minutes after I applied it. I loved the fact that I did not feel greasy after applying the Moisturizing Body lotion. Another great thing…you can apply it everywhere…your body, face, and even lips!

Yu-Be Moisturizing Lip Therapy: ($5.00)
The ingredients are based on the original 50 year old Japanese Yu-Be formula and includes Vitamin E and camphor. This product is highly effective for moisturizing, healing and soothing dry chapped lips. Please note that this product does not contain SPF protection.
My take: Hands down one of the best lip balms I have ever used. Again it starts out with a medicinal smell that quickly goes away…I would recommend this to everyone!

Yu-Be Moisturizing Cream: ($24.00)
Yu-Be Moisturizing Cream contains these leading skin conditioning ingredients:
- Glycerin – Natural “Humectant” attracts and retains moisture in the skin, making it softer.
- Vitamin E – Natural anti-oxidant and skin protector.
- Vitamin B2 – Helps to smooth rough or damaged skin – also gives Yu-Be it’s yellow color.
- Camphor – Helps soothe minor skin irritations – mild scent fades in minutes leaving skin feeling healthy.
- * Concentrated moisturizer helps hydrate, heal, soothe and smooth severe dry skin
- * Helps heal split cuticles and smooth rough, dry skin on hands, elbows, knees and feet.
- * Helps protect and moisturize skin exposed to cold, wind, water and sun.
- * Non-greasy formula absorbs quickly and locks in for hours. Good for all day or all night.
- * Contains no artificial colors or fragrances.
My take: Excellent for very dry chapped skin such as feet or elbows. Do not need to use on a daily basis, overnight does the trick.
