Telling Dad…For a good reason

Have you heard of the “dad blogger”??? Well if your rolling your eyes thinking he is boring, talks about tools, poop, and hot girls in there undies..you half wrong. He does talk about those last 2. More lately on his wife running to shut off the sprinkler in her “skivvies“. And i am sure since hes a dad, there will be some very vivid Poop posts.

Well, Telling Dad, has a heart like no other blogger i have seen. He is willing to degrade his poor self in ways i can not tell you because i have already dug my eyes out in sheer laughter at the fact. (Don’t worry i will definitely link you!) But the motivation behind this story is what i really want to speak about today.

Greg, the man behind Telling Dad, is raising money for a very important cause. Domestic Violence. Unfortunately his story has a very sad ending. But that is not stopping Greg from seeing a positive outcome in what he can do to help others.

“When women make the decision to break away from domestic violence and seek shelter they often arrive with little more than the clothes on their backs and children in hand. On more than one occasion I was told by domestic shelter administrators that they could really use pillows because they have to constantly recycle used pillows as women and children come and go.”

“It takes a lot of courage and a lot of sacrifice to leave an abusive relationship and turning to a shelter can’t be easy. But it is a safe haven. And I wanted to do something to help make what may be their first night of peace as comforting as possible. With your help, we can do just that.”

There are reasons Greg and his wife are doing this. But it is far to sad for me to explain. Instead please follow THIS LINK for the full story.

Now that you know know the Why, lets see how you can help, and what you get in return. Greg has signed his entire dignity over to his wife (i need to find out how she did that by the way -wink!). She films him doing the Flirty Girl Fitness routine to raise money for A Good Nights Sleep Fund. Now the initial idea was to raise $500 for the charity event, but they surpassed that! So in order to meet all the demands of Greg doing this workout with a Bright Pink feather Boa, he is trying to reach a new goal of $1000.

So here is my bottom line…Greg is hilarious. He tells the best stories. His wife is obviously hot stuff that he cause mass distress to her enough that she runs threw the house streaking (hey Greg, i know it was you who turned that well pump off..no hiding it). But Telling Dad, has a heart of gold. To back up everything i just told you, is Greg himself..fully kissing his hand and butt slapping himself. ( I swear i could not make this up if i tried!)

Welcome to.. Telling Dad.

Off Topic..but please read THIS story about his findings of a little known hybrid mega-species of scorpion that put Rattlesnake venom to shame…or is it? And here is why he showers..or tries to..every day.

On December 21, 2012 four strangers on a journey of faith are drawn to an ancient temple in the heart of Mexico. For the Mayans it is the last recorded day. For NASA scientists it is a cataclysmic polar shift. For the rest of us, it is Doomsday.
