is another great alternative to using disposable plastic baggies for your kids 
lunches. The unique thing about these bags is that they have a built in place mat that the kids, and adults for that matter, can use to protect their food from dirty tables etc…
I tried las
t year to send containers in my daughters lunch instead of the plastic baggies, but the containers came home unopened. When I asked her why she would say that she couldn’t get it opened. I immediately switched back to the plastic baggies!
But these reusable bags are easy for her to handle and they hold a great amount of food as well. The built in place mat wraps around the bag twice, keeping the food secure and closes with a Velcro strip. These bags are super easy to clean and really only needed a quick wipe down. You can also wash them with warm water and hang them to dry or even towel dry them quickly.
Another really neat feature about these bags is that the flap is long enough that you can wrap it around a stroller or other handlebars to hold the bag of snacks in place for your little one to enjoy hands free!
Crystal Figlietti, a mother of three, is the inventor of Fresh Snack Pack and has this to say: “As parents we are the gateway to good habits and healthy eating. The message that we send our children by using reusable bags is that we care about the environment. Packing fresh food says that we care about them.”
The original concept and design was created in 2004 and received an award from The National Parenting Center in that same year. Improvements were made and the sandwich size was added. The new product is PVC free plastic, non-toxic, durable and free of any ink printing. The bags have an original design embossed on them featuring planet earth.
I tried to get a picture of the cool embossed design, but since the bags are clear I just couldn’t get it to show up very well in the photos. I does add a great touch to the bags though!
My Thoughts: Honestly I love these bags. I like the clean design and the built in placemat (I happen to be a little germ sensitive, ahem…). The price is reasonable and you can get both the sandwich and snack size bags for about the same price as 2 boxes of disposable baggies.

I learned that In an effort to be as earth friendly as possible we have intentionally not added color to the bags or printed logos and have embossed the images on instead. We have kept the easy pack-ability associated with plastic baggies but have cut down on the waste. We can feel good about doing our part.”

I found out that these need to be hand Washed.
I learned that the first prototypes for these bags were made of fabric and then nylon but there was a problem since the inks used were not meant to be in contact with food. Thanks for the chance!
