The holiday parties are quickly approaching and there is no faster way to elevate your style game than by adding fine jewelry to complete your look!
Whether it is a simple family gathering, work function or a formal event adding the right jewelry can enhance your outfit in so many ways! Being a busy mom, I don’t have time for multiple outfit changes during the day but with a few classic pieces of jewelry, I can change the look of my outfit in an instant!
Bracelets, necklaces and earrings are my favorite way to complement an outfit. My jewelry is always dependent upon the event. For low-key family events, I tend to choose a subtle necklace, post earrings and a simple bracelet.
The fancier the outing, the fancier the jewelry gets! Nothing catches the eye like sparkling jewelry and it’s so fun to complement glittering shoes or nails.
Let’s break jewelry down into the 4 main categories:
Perhaps the single greatest aspect of a necklace is the ability to alter the length. Always pay close attention to the neckline of your top when choosing a necklace. If you have an outfit with a high neckline, consider a choker necklace. You don’t want your necklace to slip underneath your clothing, you want it to help draw attention to your beautiful self! Another aspect for necklaces is color. Don’t be afraid to pick out a shimmery gem that complements the color of your outfit.
There are so many different styles of earrings: stud, drop, hoop; the list is endless. Earrings are one of the best ways to alter your look. Stud earrings are subtle and professional. Drop earrings always seem to catch the glittering lights and the gentle swaying movement drop earrings helps draw attention to your face. Hoop earrings are a fantastic way to help liven up any outfit.
Bracelets fall in into 2 main categories, chained and cuffed. Chained bracelets are subtle, delicate and a great addition for a soft look. Cuffed bracelets demand more attention, drawing attention to them.
Stackable, diamond, pinky, dainty are a few different types of rings that can complement an outfit. Whether you need the subtle glow of fine metals or the pop of color of a gem, rings are one of the easiest ways to complete an outfit.
