Being a member of the Hoover Insiders means I have the opportunity to review some amazing products and the Hoover® WindTunnel® MAX™ Multi-Cyclonic Bagless Upright certainly fits that bill!
The new Hoover® WindTunnel® MAX™ Multi-Cyclonic Bagless Upright is amped up with maximum features. WindTunnel MAX Technology offers 3 channels of suction that remove dirt with less scatter. Meanwhile, 12 cyclones separate fine particles of dirt before they reach the rinsable filter, allowing homeowners to clean filters less often, and providing no loss of suction*. Consumers can clean more areas of their homes without re-plugging thanks to the 28-foot automatic cord rewind, which automatically rewinds in seconds at the touch of a button, up to 18 feet of above-the-floor cleaning reach, 7 floor settings for every floor type, and a 15-inch wide nozzle that devours anything in its cleaning path. My take: The boys and I are currently visiting my parents for the week and I had to bring the WindTunnel Max along to see what others thought about it as well. No surprise, set-up took all of 3 minutes (I just love the look on the men’ faces when they realize that no I don’t need help putting it together). I immediately sat down with the instruction booklet and went through it page by page to learn best how everything works.
Let me begin with my absolute favorite part…the upholstery/dusting brush. All I can say is imagine a mini vacuum for your furniture, it simply is amazing. Here is a picture of a pillow covered with fur and dirt.

There are so many other features I am impressed with and they all can completed with such ease. I love not having to deal with a bag, each time I am done vacuuming I simply release the dirt cup, hit the release button and voila the dirt is released into the garbage can with no mess on me. Each and every accessory is stored on the vacuum which makes thorough cleaning a breeze, no more hunting to find that perfect accessory simply remove it from the vacuum, attach it to the hose and you are set.
Another big selling point for me is the filters, I don’t have to worry about replacing these filters every couple of months, because one of them is rinsable- oh how I adore this, because filters add up in price when you need to constantly replace them and the HEPA filter is simple to clean as well. The WindTunnel MAX also has a system check indicator which is ideal and so easy to know if your vacuum is running optimally.
The suction on this vacuum cleaner is a big selling point- we vacuumed numerous types of carpet and at no time did we ever notice a loss in suction. I love how there are seven different settings depending on how thick your carpet is. I have never used a vacuum that has the option of shutting off the brushroll so you can easily clean bare floors. We vacuumed wood floors with ease with the bare floor setting. The automatic cord rewind seems like a reward for a job well done since I have always hated wrapping those darn things.
My negatives: if you are used to a self-propelling vacuum cleaner, this will feel a little heavy to you but the higher the floor setting, the easier it is to push. You also have to be very precise putting the upholstery/dusting brush in its storage place because if it is not placed just right it easily falls off.
All in all, I believe that the WindTunnel MAX is a superb vacuum that nets you big bang for the buck. The upholstery/dusting brush makes this vacuum seem like 2 vacuums in one. The accessories are plentiful and can be stored on the vacuum, the hose is super long and the automatic cord rewind is the perfect ending touch.
