A Dickens Holiday, downtown Fayetteville’s iconic Christmas-season event, brings a Dickens-era celebration to life this Friday, November 23rd. From 1 p.m. – 9 p.m, visitors will be treated to the seasonal sites of horse-drawn carriages, windows adorned with holiday decorations, joyful children posing with Father Christmas, seasonal vendors, special activities, musical performances, cider, gingerbread and of course Dickens characters. At 5:30 p.m., thousands gather in front of the Arts Council building for a candlelight procession to the historic Markethouse.
A Dickens Holiday is just one of the many Cumberland County events that families can attend to celebrate the season and enjoy the great outdoors.
