Comfort and stylish design are combined in this sturdy cushioned chair. Constucted to last, our Nordic Rocker is also ideal for school use, in libraries or reading centers. Seat height 16″. Adult assembly required. Ages 7+. Maximum weight limit 120 lbs.
Retails for $70.00.
My take: I have been searching for a rocker that is “kids only” for awhile but have always been disappointed at the color and quality of most available. This Nordic Rocker came well packaged and had an instruction manual so we got right to assembling the parts.
The assembly took less than 10 minutes and quite a bit of that was me telling my husband to move so I could take pictures. I am so impressed with this Nordic chair, so much so in fact that I am planning on buying a second one since it has become the favorite chair of both of my boys.
I always look for several things while buying products for my children. Is the product safe? This rocker is so sturdy and well-made that I have no fears of it tipping over. The rocker’s bottom legs do not lift up so I don’t have to worry about little finger’s getting pinched. There are no sharp edges to bump into and the chair is well-padded so bottoms won’t get sore. There is also a white lining (see above picture) underneath the red lining which minimizes slippage.
The second thing I look for is quality. Is it durable? This rocker has sustained my boys’ constant daily abuse with no problem at all. The red fabric covering the rocker is thick and has no wear and tear after almost 2 months of use. Third question- Is it easy to clean? The red covering slips off easily and can be thrown in the wash. In fact we have washed it twice so far and it still looks new.
Finally the last question: Is it worth the price? I believe this nordic rocker is worth the price. With a weight limit of 120 pounds, it will last for years around our house. For the above reasons of high quality, safety and ease to clean this is the perfect rocker for my boys. I love the bright cheerful color and most importantly my boys love to sit it the chair to read books, watch movies and to have snacks.
