Plantronics Discovery 975 Review/Giveaway Winner Announced

Plantronics WinnerI could not wait to tell you about the Plantronics Discovery 975 bluetooth headset I reviewed. I have never tried or owned a bluetooth headset. I was anxious to try it out.

I hate missing a call because my hands were all filled up and I wouldn’t be able to pack the cell phone around. This makes it super easy to go about your day and also talk if you want with your hands free. That is what excited me. I love the fact that I could be grocery shopping and could just push a button and still be able to do everything that I wanted to. I wondered if everyone would think I was crazy walking down an isle in the store and them thinking I was talking to myself. Have you ever wondered about that? I got the chance to see first hand myself and no they don’t think you are crazy..I used it and everyone seemed to know that I had a headset on. They tried to talk a little softer so not to interupt my call but in all honesty, the Plantronics Discovery 975 seemed to not matter that much, as far as interference. I had all kinds of background noises and my husband told me he could only hear about as much as he usually hears with my regular cell phone. I was amazed at how little it was and being able to not let many background noises come through. I asked him if he could tell any difference at all and he said,” Interference no, but you do sound a little clearer than on the actual cell phone.” I also wondered about how light it would be in my ear. I didn’t want anything that would be really heavy on my ear. The Plantronics Discovery 975 was really light. I used this all day in my ear for a week straight, even when I was home and not on the phone, just to see if it would start hurting my ear. It passed my test with flying colors. I must say that I have heard many great things about Plantronics and their products and after reviewing the Plantronics Discovery 975 I can see how great of a company Plantronics must be.

discovery975The Plantronics Discovery 975 is minimal in size and yet maximum in performance. The Dual microphones capture your voice and cancel background noises so you can be heard clearly. It’s 20-band equalizer delivers rich, natural voice quality. The advanced Windsmart technology of the Plantronics Discover 975 aggressively blocks out the elements  with 3 levels of wind noise protection. Grooved vents for deflecting wind, Acoustic fabric blocks wind and the electronic filters remove wind noise. These features, in my opinion, work really well at what they are supposed to.

discovery975_BThe Plantronics Discovery 975 includes an unparalleled charging case so you can store and charge your earpiece on the go. The case has internal rechargable battery that provides up to 3x the talk and standby time. That is really useful. I had used this myself to charge it up and it works great. The LCD shows battery and earpiece charge levels and displays bluetooth symbol if connected to a phone. The handy eject button makes it easy to pop the earpiece out of the case.

discovery975_CThe gel ear tip of the Plantronics Discovery 975 is so remarkably comfortable and flexible. The flesxible silicone makes it effortless to put the ear piece on and take it off. The unique ear tip shape provides stable fit and doesn’t get in the way of glasses or sunglasses. It comes with 3 different sizes of ear tip for optimal fit. Now for me this was all about the comfort. When I had the Plantronics Discovery 975 on all day every day, I am guessing that this help with my ear not hurting after awhile.

You can push mute and a voice prompt comes on and tells you if the mute is on or off. It also tells you if your battery is going low or if you lost connection. The other thing I liked about this is that all you have to do is touch the top piece and it takes the call then you touch it again and it hangs up the call. I love the one touch button on it.

All in all if you are wondering if I would say this is a great product, I would say YES. Thank you Plantronics for the review and giveaway.
