BellySock Review and Giveaway

belly2-vert

I know those little half shirts are all the rage. You know the ones that are covering those areas between the pants and where your shirt actually stops.

bellysock-nursing I am not fond of the half shirts that feel like I am wearing a thin rubber band around my middle. having a baby has changed my life in more ways than one and figure is one of those ways. Why is it that when your body isn’t in the greatest for that those are the times when you end up bearing it all? First the Dr.’s office, then the hospital and now the outside world every time your baby is hungry (or you bend over, lol). Now I am not worried about nursing my baby in public because I have a cover, but I didn’t really notice until the wind blew behind me that the cover was not covering my back and love handles or my midsection from the side view. Ack! Why didn’t anyone mention that before…better yet why wasn’t I aware? Fortunately there is a company out there that is thinking along those lines.

I was able to review BellySocks Organic Nursing top in Natural. I wasn’t sure what I was going to think with natural, but the fabric is lovely and even the dye they use is natural…that’s commitment to a cause. I am able to wear it with any color of shirt I have (I haven’t worn it with white, but that’s just me).  Their BellySock doesn’t just cover your mid section it covers everything from mid bottom up to the bottom of your bra. So nursing in public is a no longer have to worry about 023someone seeing my beautifully unsculpted back areas moment. So… hopefully you won’t mind me showing off my unsculpted mid section (no I am not pregnant again) so you can see how much coverage you can get out of this BellySock. If you dare to look close enough you’ll notice the very cute Monogrammed B that looks like a mommy holding her belly (so sweet).  The other thing I like about belly band is a single seam down the back. I was thinking back about being pregnant and remembering how miserably itchy things were and the seams are such pains after a certain point…I didn’t even notice the seam down the back of the band. If I hadn’t seen it while dressing I wouldn’t have a clue because it just disappears.

1Deb Grover is the founder of BellySock LLC. She developed this company for her own need and has gone one to share with the rest of us. Belly Sock comes in 4 different varieties: Maternity, Organic Maternity, Nursing, and Organic Nursing. All Organic BellySocks are 95% cotton and 5% spandex and the organic ones are 92% organic cotton and 8% spandex.  The great thing about the spandex is it helps hold you in…both a plus pregnant and post.  These BellySocks come in a full range of sizes…Extra Small up to 3 Extra Large! The company even has gift certificates for the hard to please (I would love to pick my own color if I was 4 months pregnant). The Maternity line can help you extend your everyday shirts into the far reaches of your adventure. I wish I had found BellySock Maternity while I was pregnant because I could have worn more of my own clothes. I was lucky because I didn’t have to wear maternity clothes with this last baby. I love the nursing top because I can wear it long into the future.prizeypick
