It never fails that as soon as the nice warm weather arrives so does the daily ouches that require bandages.  My kids are 2, 6 and 8 and like nothing more than being outdoors during the summer months, especially if involves water.  I was having the hardest time keeping bandages on their numerous ouches while they were playing in the water until I tried Nexcare Waterproof Bandages.

Nexcare Brand has enlisted an unexpected new product tester, Nexcare Nana, to demonstrate the strength and superior performance of Nexcare Waterproof Bandages and show just how tough they are.

A series of three videos follow Nexcare Nana as she goes to extreme lengths to prove that Nexcare Waterproof Bandages have  staying power. Nana conducts intense product tests that put her, and Nexcare Waterproof Bandages, up against their biggest opponents – water, dirt and germs.   The dramatizations in the videos show how the bandages can be used in everyday-life:

In the first encounter  Nana goes head-to-head with a high-pressure fire hose:

The second features Nana taking a dumpster dive:

Her third obstacle consists of a showdown with a dirt-filled dump truck:

My take:  Before I get into my review of these Nexcare Bandages I just need to tell you that I think Nexcare Nana is just about the cutest little old lady I have ever seen….and that I was very impressed at how well the Nexcare Waterproof Bandages protected her skin (especially in the high-pressure water hose scenario).

My toddler is learning that concrete is a very unforgiving surface this summer and she suffers numerous scrapes and bruises daily.  Both of my boys are heavily into sports and daredevil tricks with their bikes and we have had our fair shares of very nasty scrapes on elbows and knees this past month.  Before I tried Nexcare Waterproof Bandages I was hesitant to let them jump into the pool because I was worried that the scrapes wouldn’t stay dry enough.  First I was so impressed with the easy application:

If you have ever tried to put a bandage on a squirming toddler you can appreciate that these bandages can be easily applied with one hand.   We have been swimming daily in my parents’ pool and no matter how nasty the scrape is, Nexcare Waterproof Bandages have withstood the test and have protected each and every one of our scrapes from a wet, germy environment.

  1. My kids seem to always need bandages. Someone is always getting a cut or scratch especially during the summer months.

  2. Thanks for the giveaway…we are always in need of waterproof bandages i.e. minor cuts in the kitchen, blisters on weekend hikes, cuts & scrapes that our kids get playing, etc.
