This past weekend we celebrated both of my boys’ birthdays and we have always rented Bounce Houses for the family birthday party.  We quickly realized that it was pretty costly to spend that amount of money each year on a rental.  Imagine my utter delight when I was offered the opportunity to review the Magic Castle Bounce House from Blast Zone.

The Magic Castle is our most popular bounce house!  Kids love the fun, colorful castle theme and parents love the quality, durability, and safety. This bounce castle is built to last, and sets up so fast that in less than two minutes your kids can be bouncing and jumping and hopping with abandon. The Magic Castle can accommodate three kids at once, and at 11′ L x 8.5′ W x 8′ H is tall enough to keep kids playing safely, yet low enough to be used in many indoor as well as outdoor areas. Add the optional play balls to create a ball pit for even more fun.

You will love the Magic Castle as much as your kids will! Why? Besides having a ton of fun, your children will burn up that extra energy in a safe and healthy way by getting lots of exercise, building coordination, and developing gross motor skills in a protected play space. To keep jumpers secure indoors or out, the entire bounce area is fully enclosed by safety netting, while the “safe slope” slide provides easy and safe access. The hook-and-loop fastener entrance will keep kids safely inside while they bounce and have a blast!

This bouncer is easy to set up, take down, store, and transport. Set-up is a snap using the UL listed blower (included) that literally inflates the bouncer in less than 2 minutes. Take down is a breeze. Simply turn off the blower, let the unit deflate on its own, fold it, roll it up and store it in the carrying case (included).

The sturdy Magic Castle is constructed according to Blast Zone’s strict quality and safety standards, using triple stitched, reinforced polyester oxford. The bounce floor of this tough jumper is constructed with the same material used in commercial-grade rental bouncers, adding extra bounce, strength, and longer life to the unit.  As with all our products, the Magic Castle comes with Blast Zone’s industry-leading warranty and customer support.

Retails for $399.99 but on sale for $269.99

My take:  We were fortunate enough last year to review an Inflatable Water Park from Blast Zone and the set-up for this Inflatable Bounce House was pretty much the same.  Since we have high ceilings in our living room we decided to make this product available to play for our kids year round by putting it in the house during winter and in the backyard for spring/summer.  Attach the blower, tie off the air release and inflate.

Each time we have inflated this unit it has taken less than 1 minute.  If you are bouncing outside make sure to use the stakes included in the box.  We debated using sandbags inside but so far we have had minimal slippage on the carpet.   Aspects that I love:  the slide to get in/out:

How durable the material is and how much my kids have a blast bouncing in it:

Once the kids are done bouncing, shut the blower off and let the unit deflate.  There is even a great storage bag included.  As a physical therapist I see so many great benefits to using an inflatable:  gross motor coordination, balance, spatial awareness and tactile awareness are among a few.  Great price for hours on entertainment and best of all for the parents- ease of setup and takedown.
