I am not a jewelry kind of girl. I don’t mind wearing a pair of earrings out to dinner, but it’s the same pair I have worn for years. Bracelets feel weird on my wrist and catch on everything. The only piece I wish I had was a ring. Being a military spouse there is an unspoken rule about shotgun weddings before their spouse deploys. Ours was basically the same. He signed up to enlist and said we had to be married by Saturday that week. Fast forward 8 years later, 3 duty stations, 2 deployments and 2 kids; there is still no ring on my finger.
