Zipit

Trying to dress my 5 month old daughter is always a struggle so I was excited for the opportunity to review a playsuit from Zipit.

z

As she struggled to dress her squirmy baby – wrestling to get clothes over his wobbly head, fussing with all those fiddly snaps – new mom, Ruth Waddingham, had the same thought as all new parents: There has to be an easier way! She drew upon her 20+ years of experience as a graphic designer in London and NYC to invent Zipit – a smart, fuss-free babywear collection made only with zippers. From rompers and dresses to hats and blankies, Zipit features full-front openings, zippers that unzip from the ankle for quick diaper changes, and the exclusive Pooper Peeper™ to check diapers without undressing.

Along with its one-of-a-kind ergonomic design using a covered zipper placket to ensure clothing lays comfortably and snuggly up against a baby’s skin, Zipit incorporates whimsical accents in every detail.  The color combo palette is bright, modern and happy – pebble (an urban grey) and new leaf (apple green) or rich chocolate and giggle pink. All garments are 100% soft cotton and feature images of treats adored by any tike: milk & cookies, popsicles, apples and raspberries.

Happy Playsuit:

  • Ankle to neck full front zipper opening with pinch free placket for easy dressing
  • Pooper Peeper™ back opening allows for quick diaper checks

My take:  I have used this playsuit for every occasion imaginable.  Immediately after bath when she is freezing cold and wants to be clothed ASAP, for daytime wear and for pajama wear.  On the rare occasion I have to take the boys to school this is my go to outfit since she can wear it to bed instead of her normal sleep dress and I know her little legs will stay warm.  I especially love the Pooper Peeper for that quick check to see if she has a messy diaper.   The colors are great, it is soft to her skin and the zipper has a soft protective covering.
