$50 Cash Gift Card Giveaway from Gift Rocket

Finally a brilliant idea for a gift card company! I never mind getting gift cards as a gift but there are just sometimes when I think I don’t need any more bath items, shoes, or to eat at that restaurant anymore. Gift Rocket is pretty cool in the way they offer their gift.

GiftRocket is a new type of online gift card. It’s like a gift card in that it is intended for a specific business, but more flexible because the recipient collects money up front and has ultimate say in how they use it. You can deliver the gift by email, Facebook wall post, or as a printed card. {Yes, Facebook!} When the recipient receives the gift email or card, they can choose to withdraw the money straight to a PayPal, bank account or even request a check. Once they claim the money, it’s their money. They can go to the business you suggested or anywhere they want.

My favorite part is that you can suggest any business anywhere. The program uses Yelp and you simply type in a business name and cite/state. This way if you know a small town gem, why not let the recipient know and let them decide if they want to try it.

Purchasing a GiftRocket Gift Card took less than 2 minutes. Select the amount and add a message, suggest a business (optional), pay and done!

 There are some fees. If you make your purchase with a credit or debit card, there is a fee of $2 + 5% of the gift amount. If you make your purchase directly from your bank account, the fee is $2 for gifts below $100 and $4 otherwise.

• Pay with bank account- $4
