Soundfreaq Sound Step Recharge Review & Discount Code

Technology is a wonderful thing but it has it drawbacks as well.  Take our family, we are lucky enough to own smartphones, an iPad and iPods but the biggest drawback I have found with every single one of these products is that sound is lacking when you want to share with others.  My boys love to have dance parties but we find ourselves limited to where these dance parties can occur secondary to lack of a good sound system.

I recently had the opportunity to review the Soundfreaq Sound Step Recharge System.

Introducing Soundfreaq performance in low profile with Bluetooth wireless convenience, a rechargeable battery and iPad docking.

Keep the Power in Your Hand, Not in a Dock.

You use your mobile devices (iPad, iPhone, Android, Blackberry, etc.) for just about everything: to make calls, write emails, browse the web, listen to music, watch movies, play games, and use countless apps. But it’s hard tomulti-task with home audio systems that still require docking.  With built-in Bluetooth capability, you can stream audio directly to the Soundfreaq SFQ-02 Sound Step without missing a beat; letting you keep your device exactly where you want it- in your hand.

Bring The Sound Anywhere
Sound Step is designed to bring anywhere with a rechargeable battery and low profile. Sound Step is crafted for natural bass response, vocal clarity and stereo separation with a 2.1 speaker configuration with a sub-woofer. Designed for music lovers, Sound Platform is acoustically balanced to compliment every genre, at any volume.

Stay in Charge
Sound Step works with all docking iPod and iPhone devices, and also fits the iPad to keep it charged too- even when in a case. With USB
charging, you can keep your Blackberry, Android, Bluetooth headset,iPhone, mobile phone or any USB-chargeable device fully powered.

Instant Entertainment System
Not only does Sound Step bring music to life, it plays any audio from your iPad and smart mobile devices. With a low profile, it fits conveniently on a desk, under a computer or TV, delivering a crystal clear audio experience for movies, TV shows, videos, games,  Internet radio and apps.

Compatible Today and Tomorrow
Sound Step works with Bluetooth devices- the wireless standard for mobile devices- which makes it easy to share in a multi-device, multiuser household or office and compatible with future devices.

Retails for $149.99.

My take:  My boys were asking every 5 minutes “when are you going to open the box Mom?” when they learned we were going to have a dance party soon after set-up.  I waited until it was relatively quiet and then opened the box.  I was so relieved when I saw initial set-up was literally a few steps.  There is nothing more I dislike than having to spend mass amounts of time setting up electronics.

I first set my iPod on the connector and in minutes we were dancing away.  Next step was the iPad, and I have to admit this is my favorite way to listen to music.  I chose to use the Bluetooth feature and quickly downloaded the Soundfreaq app so I could control the Soundfreaq Sound Step Recharge via the iPad.  Pairing the two literally took one push of the pair  button and they were connected.

We all are amazed at the high quality sound that comes out of this small unit.  The boys are overjoyed at the volume level, in fact we have never made it to full volume because it is that loud.  Another great feature is that is has a hidden storage space for the remote on the bottom of the unit which is great since the remote is so tiny I know it would be lost within minutes around here.  The fact that it also charges the devices while they are docked is a huge plus in my book as well.
