#MomsOnBikes- Safety 1st

September is coming up fast and is National Bike Safety Month.

Some fun in September:

First Day of Fall- September 22 is the 1st day of fall! Ride through the neighbors big bath of raked leaves! (with permission of course!)
Signal Day- No specific day, but it’s always great to teach your kids how to sign turns. Livestrong.com has a great post on it.
Check Your HeAdLiGhTs Day- Add reflectors to the front & back of your child’s bike and get their ever growing head sized for a new helmet!

We went to our local Toy’s r Us and found these awesome Raskullz Helmets. They are stylish and great quality for protecting their noggens.

Keep in mind that fall will bring on cooler air for bike rides and may feel nice, but that just means the snow is close. Depending on where you live, that may mean only a short time more to bike. Get in your time alone, time with the kids/spouse/or pet now before those soft white flakes fall.
