Motorola’s MBP36 Remote Wireless Video Baby Monitor

My oldest son is six years old and I am constantly amazed at the technology available currently that was nowhere to be found six years ago.  I recently had the opportunity to review Motorola’s MBP36 Remote Wireless Video Baby Monitor and was blown away.

This video monitor showcases a 3.5” full color LCD screen with pan, tilt, and zoom functionality remotely from the Parent Unit. In addition, it has infrared night vision for keeping an eye on things in very low light levels. Its digital technology gives parents and caretakers peace of mind in knowing that its signal is secure so others cannot eavesdrop.

My take:  This monitor is quite simply the best that I have ever seen.  Set-up can be completed in four simple steps and the options are varied.  Let’s start out with the quality of the picture….it is in color, crisp and the level of detail is amazing.  I can see each ladybug on the crib design without a problem.  It also has zoom capability which allows a view of the the entire baby or you can zoom 2x and get a close up of the baby’s face or chest.  I love that you have the freedom to pan in all four directions to get the best view needed.  Once it gets dark, the LED lights automatically converts the screen to black and white night vision which is also crisp and clear.

This video monitor also has 5 lullabies which some are soothing to help the child fall asleep and some are playful to keep them entertained if you need a few extra minutes  before getting them.  You can control the volume from the parental unit.  There is also a talk button which allows you to help soothe your child from the comfort of another room.  I also like the temperature display and the alarm function (which is perfect for feeding schedules).

Every single function is so easy to use and the parental until is small enough to fit into your back pocket and has a pretty long range.  There is also a battery pack included for the parental unit which is perfect for me to watch the older boys outside while the baby sleeps.  Absolutely love this monitor and would recommend it to any parent!
