Energizer Ultimate Lithium Battery Review and Giveaway

I consider myself to be an eco-conscious person….maybe I’m not as eco-friendly as I possibly could be but I try hard. I recycle all plastics, paper and glass, I use water faucets and shower heads that save water, I take efficient showers and turn off the faucet when brushing my teeth. So all things considered, I think I am more aware of being environmentally friendly than a good chunk of people. Years ago I picked up a pack of rechargeable batteries thinking I could avoid tossing out a ton of batteries every year. Turns out the off-brand batteries I’d purchased were no good. They couldn’t hold a charge to save their lives. My smoke detectors were beeping to have their batteries charged in no time, my tv remote died almost immediately after I’d replaced the traditional batteries with the rechargeable ones. So needless to say I went back to using traditional (non-rechargeable batteries).

But recently I learned about Energizer’s Ultimate Lithium batteries. I can’t really call them “traditional” batteries because they are in a different league than those off-brand, no good for nothing batteries I was using years ago. Energizer’s Lithium batteries are different from alkaline batteries – they last longer and pack more punch:

Battery chemistry and construction differ in the two systems. Because of this, Energizer® Ultimate Lithium batteries last up to 9x longer in digital cameras (versus Energizer® MAX®. results vary by camera.) and can operate at extreme temperatures (-40?F to 140?F).

Nine times longer?! I was so excited to see that Energizer’s Lithium batteries not only pack a big punch of power, they also last longer. It’s not only convenient so you’re climbing up a ladder to change that smoke detector battery less frequently and swapping out the remote control batteries fewer times per year but you are also saving a few more batteries from being tossed out! To be completely honest, a few months back Energizer made me a believer of rechargeable batteries again (because their rechargeables actually work unlike those lame off-brands I was using years ago) but I still like to have non-rechargeable batteries on hand, especially for things like the smoke detector. Now Energizer has made me a believer of their Lithium batteries and their extended life! So even though I am trying to take steps to become more eco-friendly, I am at least saving quite a few batteries from being tossed out every year!

Energizer would like to make one lucky Mommy PR reader a believer, too! One lucky reader will win two 4-packs of Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries.

My name is Megan and I’m a unique reviewer for Mommy PR – I don’t have any kids yet, but one day I hope to. The majority of my days are spent at my 9 to 5 day job and I spend most of my evenings in culinary school! In September 2012 I will graduate as a pastry chef.
