Natural Balance ALPHA {Dog Food} Review & Giveaway
There are a couple of members of this household that were super excited for this next review! I am pretty picky about what my boys eat, but after studying the Natural Balance information on their website, I decided that this would be a product that I was willing to have them try.
Dick Van Patten’s Natural Balance Pet Foods is committed to providing The Food For a Lifetime for your pets! The ALPHA line is completely grain free with moderate protein levels. High quality proteins are combined with garbanzo beans to offer a balanced source of proteins for your pets. Flavors of ALPHA formulas include the use of prebiotics to aid in healthy digestion which is beneficial for maintaining a healthy digestive tract. Some interesting ingredients are used like blueberries, zucchini, apples, carrots, celery, beets dried kelp, salmon oil and more. You can check out full ingredient lists here.
Since my dogs can’t speak for themselves, I thought I would give you visuals to show how much they enjoyed the Natural Balance ALPHA flavors:
After they licked their bowel and each others bowels completely clean, they checked all around the floor to make sure that a stray piece was not missed! To say they liked it would be an understatement!
My Final Thoughts: I really liked the choice of flavors that was included: Trout, Salmon Meal & Whitefish, the favorite Chicken, Turkey Meal & Duck and a really close second of Lamb, Chicken Meal & Rabbit. I have been feeding my dogs a “high quality” popular and expensive brand of dog food that was recommended by my vet, many years ago. When I laid out the ingredients side by side with my current dog food and Natural Balance ALPHA ingredients I was completely shocked! While I thought I had been giving my dogs only the best food – when I really examined the label, I was disappointed with what was actually being used to make the food that I have been so loyal to for all of these years. Natural Balance formulas impressed me so much that for the first time, I am switching the brand of dog food that I purchase for my dogs. They are part of our family and deserve to have as much attention paid to the labels on their food that I give to the food that I feed my family.
