B. Toys Valentine Review

By now I hope you have picked out that great Valentine gift for your significant other.  But what about the other love in your life….your little one?  I recently was sent 2 adorable toys from one of my very favorite toy companies….B. Toys

B. ready for the unexpected.

You’re right. The colors are a little different.

We don’t spend a lot of time thinking about how things are supposed to be.

Instead, we create toys that inspire individuality.

The designs don’t line up with mathematical precision.

The look, feel and function are inspired by the world around us. By our children’s faces. Our dreams. Our own childhoods. Our travels. By Peruvian textiles and New England foliage. By a pretty bar of soap that gave us a moment of delight.

Our process? Part joy. Part love. Part mischief. Part serendipity.

You’ll notice even our packaging feels a little different, both in your hands and to the Earth. We try to make life easier for moms and dads whenever possible. And our commitment to children goes well beyond the one chasing his sister around the house with one of our drumsticks.

At the end of the day, our goal is to be bigger than a toy company.

We want to be a voice to children that says it’s okay to be curious, to be pensive, to be loud, to be happy and sad all at the same time, to be generous, to be afraid, to be quiet, to be wild, to be fun, to be open, to be scientific, to be poetic, to be giddy, to be serious, to be smart, to be free, to be you.

Just B. Just you. B. you.

Wheeee-ls!

Pull them back and let goooooooooooooooo!

  • 4 chunky vehicles
  • Perfect for little hands
  • Car rings
  • Truck chimes
  • Racer rattles
  • Taxi squeaks
  • No batteries necessary. With these soft cars, you don’t really need tough ankles either.

Woofer:

Play a ruff riff with your faithful companion. There’s just something ’bout this hound dog.

  • Choose your mood! 3 play modes: acoustic, electric or hound dog.
  • 8 musical buttons play C to C chords
  • Guitar strings play chord progressions or pre-recorded songs
  • Whammy Bone lets you make any song your own
  • 20 sing-along favorites and 9 Peppy Puppy songs
  • Includes everyone’s best friend: a volume knob
  • Auto off after 2 minutes. Good doggy.

My take: Where to start?  The Wheeee-ls are so perfect for those little chunky hands to grab and zoom away.  You don’t need to worry about your little one getting hurt clunking himself on the head with these soft cars.  Little details are what I appreciate so much and B. Toys always includes them….hearts on the license plates (I’m telling you PERFECT for Valentine’s day), funky bright cheerful colors and best of all each car makes a different sound sure to delight your little one.

Now onto the favorite….Woofer.  I have never seen my boys play so nicely with one toy.  One simple reason…there is so much to do with this puppy guitar.  29 songs, the Whammy Bone for your creative musicians, musical buttons, the options to strum the guitar stings and 3 play modes.  The boys can’t decide what their favorite option is and I don’t blame them.  Parents’ favorite:  volume knob (that really does lower the noise, ahem music greatness) and the guitar shuts off after 2 minutes.  Last but not least who can resist the super cute puppy design??

I know, I know Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and how are you supposed to get these two adorable toys in time?  Just head over to your local Target and you are set!
