We all need them, we all use them and we all dread replacing them when they wear out. If you’re thinking I’m talking about something odd (like underwear), no that’s not it, I’m talking about windshield wipers! It’s possible I’m the only one who dreads replacing windshield wipers – it’s not like it’s particularly difficult or even time-consuming. It’s just overwhelming to go into the auto store and see so many choices. And the prices range all over the place. Are the really expensive ones worth it, are the cheap ones going to fall apart the second time I use them? Will the ones I pick be able to stand up to all the ice, snow and winter road mess I have to deal with? Are the ones I finally pick going to smear water instead of wiping it away? Will they squeak or drag across the glass? So many things to consider, and how many how many times do I have to replace them until I ultimately find that perfect pair of wipers…?

Well, fate has it that I have now answered my own questions. Allow me to introduce you to Teflon SHIELD windshield wipers. So far these wipers have been challenged with sprinkles, downpours and thick frosts. No snow or ice yet, but even when those appear sometime in the near future, I am confident the Teflon SHIELDs will tackle them. Previously, with my factory wipers when it first started to rain I would let a couple droplets accumulate on my windshield before wiping for the first time. Those first or second wipes tended to just smear the water across the glass. Once the rain had picked up some, then the wipers would be wet enough or flexible enough to fully wipe the glass. But that’s not the case with the Teflon SHIELD wipers; they can take away a few droplets of water without leaving any smears on the glass! And when the sun hasn’t quite disappeared behind clouds, it means that it’s bright out and you can’t afford to have dirty smears across your windshield.

A few times in the past couple of weeks I’ve been faced with driving in heavy downpours in the evening. I would have been so much more concerned about my visibility if I hadn’t replaced my factory wipers with the Teflon SHIELD wipers. When it’s wet and dark, the light can refract on your windshield making it very difficult to drive and focus on the road ahead of you. Again, that was not an issue since I’ve been using the Teflon SHIELDs. They completely wipe away the water even when they are set to the fastest speed possible. They are extremely smooth gliding across the windshield, even when my car just can’t push them fast enough to keep up with the massive amounts of rain. It’d won’t be too long before the wet stuff is replaced with the white stuff falling from the sky. And when it does happen, I will be super happy to have my Teflon SHIELD wipers keeping my windshield clean!
