In this new book, the family finds fun and adventure as the bears attempt to assemble the family Nativity scene.

The story of the Nativity shines through as Brother, Sister, and Honey Bear search the Bear family tree house to find their manger scene, a family “bearloom,” in this memorable and fun lift-the-flap Christmas story.

Beginning their traditional Christmas decorating, the Bears pop open the box that should hold the entire Nativity scene, but find only the baby Jesus in his manger. Where are the rest of the figurines?

The cubs begin a holiday hunt through their home and discover missing pieces of the Nativity scene in the most unlikely places. Camels are tucked away in a cabinet. Three wise bears are hidden behind a clock on the mantle. And Christmas star dangles behind the family Bible. Young readers will enjoy finding these wonderful surprises along with the beloved Berenstain Bears.

My take:  My boys have always loved the Berenstain Bears and add to it a Christmas story with lift the flaps and they squealed with excitement.  The story is charming and the illustrations are gorgeous!
