It started with an e-mail — “Travel Opportunity” was the subject line. A blogger was needed to fly to Los Angeles for an event with Yoplait. I think I hit “reply” in about 30 seconds. I never expected a response.
But I got one.
Three days later (three very SHORT days later) I left Seattle and 40 degree weather to 75 and sunshine to rub elbows with Nancy O’Dell of Entertainment Tonight, Daniel Torres, her trainer, and other celebrities at Yoplait Original Yogurt Calcium In Every Cup party held at The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, California.
I met up with the Yoplait team for some quick drinks and appetizers before the party. I think our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, but hey, it was delicious. (Especially the sweet potato fries!)
We all headed up to the penthouse at the Roosevelt just in time to enjoy the sunset from its roof. Again, gorgeous.
But enough about the sights; I was in LA for Yoplait, and some great nutrition and workout tips!
Nancy is a mom like me, so she knows it’s important to find easy ways to get optimum nutrition. (Well, not EXACTLY like me, I don’t have her fabulous hair and a personal trainer like Daniel!) We’ve got to stay healthy for our ourselves and our children!
Did you know your bones can start changing as early as your 30s? This means getting enough calcium is important. REALLY IMPORTANT. Yoplait knows, this so they’ve reformulated their delicious yogurt to include 50 percent of the Daily Value of calcium and vitamin D in each cup. (Vitamin D helps with calcium absorption.)
All good things must come to an end, and no sooner did I set down my empty cup of strawberry Yoplait than it was time for me to catch my town car back to the airport. I said goodbye to the amazing Yoplait team and I headed home.
Want to check out Yoplait for yourself? In celebration of its commitment to calcium, Yoplait is giving away one million free cups of Yoplait Original yogurt. You can visit Yoplait’s Facebook page to sign up to receive a free cup of Yoplait Original yogurt and make a personal commitment to meeting recommended calcium requirements each day.
