Gaggle of Chicks Site Review & $10 Credit For MommyPR Readers

Recently Mom Central invited me to take  part in a new blog tour for a new site called Gaggle of Chicks.

Moms spend a lot of time shopping. Whether for clothing, school supplies, toys or groceries, shopping takes up much of our time and money. Around the holiday season, the hassle of maneuvering through crowds and standing in endless lines saps the fun out of hitting the stores, making it feel like just another chore on our to-do list.

 
Gaggle of Chicks recently launched a Nationwide edition of their website offering daily deals and putting the fun back in shopping. The team at Gaggle of Chicks spends their days seeking out quality products and services not just for Moms, but for every member of the family at a fraction of the regular price. From baked goods to skin care products to holiday cards – no matter the product, Gaggle of Chicks only features carefully chosen items from select vendors at up to 70% off the regular price. And, every item for sale has a stamp of approval from a network of Moms.
 
Like other group shopping sites, a deal on Gaggle of Chicks “hatches” after several Moms make the same purchase. Since deals expire after only 48 hours, speed matters! After making a purchase, buyers receive a referral code to send to friends so that they can buy it, too. You earn $10 every time someone you invite makes their first Gaggle purchase, and your friends instantly get a $10 credit as soon as they sign up.

My take: I was given a $50 gift code to try this site out.  It was very easy to sign up and when there were deals available for me I was sent a notice via email.  My first purchase was from Head Chefs in which I saved $10..the deal was already “hatched” so I immediately received my code for purchasing.  My next purchase was from a deal that was not already hatched but quickly hatched by the end of the day….this time it was from Paper Hat Press on a personalized book for my child in which I saved $10.95.  When I signed up I was also given a $10 credit which I also applied so I ended up saving over $30 on these 2 purchases!   I was extremely impressed with the deals and the ease of navigation around the site and really like the wide variety (kitchen utensils for kids, books, jewelry for women, etc). 

Just a side note, if you have credit it is not applied to S&H.
