PowerMat Review & Giveaway

When PowerMat approached us for a review it was perfect timing to test a travel device. Our car has an electric outlet but its a tad hard to charge more than one thing at a time. Plus who wants to find every outlet in a hotel room. Since we would be on the road for 18 hours driving, I’m sure one of the phones or Ipods would die.

Sure enough Ariel asked for the Ipod and it was about drained. So what better time to try out the Powermat?

I had already charged the base at home so it was ready. I simply placed it on the dash board, put the Ipod on the Ipod dock and set it on the mat. In case you are wondering how it stayed on so well, the base actually is magnetized to the mat.

After your item is fully charged, it has an auto shut off that turns off the power so it doesn’t over charge which can shorten your battery life (i never knew that!). But it will also monitor your products battery if you leave it on the mat.

No energy is ever wasted because each receiver knows how much power is needed for each device you charge. Just like when you plug in your ipod to your computer, the powermat will make a sound when your product is charging and when it is removed.

There is also a USB port for devices that need those to charge. This way you aren’t using your computer just to charge up something. Now its all in one spot.

Find out more about how the Powermat works.

Powermat sent us their Portable Power Mat.
