Marriott Anaheim Beauna Park Hotel Review

On our way to Disneyland in California we knew we had to stop at some hotel chains. As much as we were looking for quality, we were looking for price. We didn’t want to spend loads of money on one nights sleep but we also wanted something comfortable.

You always here of crazy stuff happening in some of these hotels. And believe me , the 1st night we stayed in one of those and good lord it reassured us that we would never do that again! lol.

Anyways, on to the Marriott…..

Our hotel stay with Disney was for one night, so we needed to find the closest Marriott to the gate for the second night stay. I went to Marriott.com and put in the address i needed and the dates. Plus i had Marriott Rewards (i recommend those!) and asked for a military discount (yep they have those too!). The price that came back was astounding to me. $84 . I was loving that price. Even though i was using a gift card, i still wanted to stretch my dollar. So we booked our night for the Marriott Courtyard in Anaheim Buena Park. It was about 10 minutes from Disney Downtown District. It had a pool, hot tub and the entrance was beautiful.

When you walk in its like some Vegas hotel (not that i have been their but seemed that way). It was large and all open with beautiful detail and color. Their was even a full service Starbucks inside. Tables, chairs and booths to sit down.

I checked in and confirmed my room rate. Now just so you know, if you are using a gift card to pay, they do have to hold $120 on your credit card until you check out. Then you can pay with your gift card and it will take up to one week to release the money on your credit card.

We were off to our room. I had requested that when we arrive their be a crib, extra pillows and a low floor entry room. (I love that you can request things prior! and for free!) As soon as we entered the room my husband was in love with the bed. It covered an entire wall. It was so big and lord was it comfortable. (Did you know you can buy the mattress??) It had a couch, coffee table, dresser with TV, and an enormous bathroom. I did have to request a crib 3 times but i believe it was because they were understaffed. The lady who brought the crib to me did not look like a usual hotel maid, so i assume they were trying to meet everyone’s exceptions. I was not upset at all though, we were enjoying our time in the city so it wasn’t on my mind.

The room was very clean, the blankets and pillows looked brand new. On a note about the feather pillows, we ended up purchasing 2 of them. One standard for $50 and one Kind size for $65. They were worth every price. I have never splurged that much on anything for our bed, but let me tell you i could not sleep better with out them. My husband tried to act all manly as if the pillow didn’t make a difference but ultimately took mine, which is when i ordered the second one. Now if we could afford the mattress and sheets and all….we so would. When we arrived home that was the 1st thing my husband said, i miss the Marriott bed.

The pool was open so we did venture in their for a bit. It was clean, and set inside the courtyard of the Marriott. In order to get in you have to swipe your door card. They did have a laundry room and it was $1 per load, not as bad as i thought.

Overall, our Marriott stay here was exceptional. We checked out at 3am for our trip back so we didn’t get to stay for breakfast.

This hotel is based right in the heart of this city. You are by several venues to eat and have a great time. MidiEval times is across the street and a pirate adventure restaurant. Both within walking distance. Ripley’s Believe It or Not , and Soak City are also close by.

Our Military rate was $94.08 with tax, regular room rates were around $99-$109 – worth every penny! (Aug 2nd 2010- Aug 3rd 2010)

Before we left… we reserved another room at another Marriott location on our trip.
