Annabel Karmel You Can Cook Review & Giveaway
A short while back I did a review on Annabel Karmel’s Mom and Me Cookbook and Top 100 Finger Foods both great cookbooks, be sure to check out my earlier review.
About Annabel Karmel: A mother of three, Karmel has become a cookbook phenomenon. Her series of home-made recipes for babies and toddlers have sold over 3 million copies worldwide. Her Complete Baby and Toddler Meal Planner has become the authoritative guide on feeding babies and children and is regularly in the top five cookery titles. She has appeared on many TV programs, including the Today Show, The CBS Early Show and The View.
Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to You Can Cook, A step-by-step cookbook for kids, just recently released!

A complete cooking course for kids, from food guru Annabel Karmel
Encourage a love of healthy food for life with this one-stop cookery book.
Get your child involved in all aspects of cooking – from choosing the ingredients, basic preparation and adding flavour to nutrition. Your child will pick up key cooking techniques; from slicing, dicing and chopping to how to cream, sift, knead and whisk. Plus, they’ll learn how to whip up over 60 delicious and healthy recipes that the whole family will enjoy, from pancakes to risotto.
If your child only has one cookbook – make it this one!*
My Thoughts: I have just recently been giving my oldest daughter a little more responsibility in the kitchen and have given her the job of preparing dinner for the family one night per week. You Can Cook is exactly what we needed at this stage of her kitchen training and takes her beyond something warmed up in the microwave! The book explains healthy eating, defines fruits, veggies and kitchen equipment. Your child will learn everything from how to boil an egg to how to prepare Chicken Tikka Masala! The recipes are appealing to all members of the family and my daughter really likes that she can pick something and prepare it all on her own (mostly). Overall You Can Cook is a perfect starting cookbook for your child and the family will love having these tasty recipes prepared for them (especially the mom)!

Buy it: You Can Cook can be purchased Annebel’s shop on Amazon.com at Booksamillion.com and many others.
Win it: One MommyPR reader will win their own copy of You Can Cook!

My son is just starting to get into cooking pretend play, so I think “Cook it together” would be a fun intro to the real kitchen!
