SmartShield Review and Giveaway

We are full-fledged into the summer months here in Virginia. It’s hot, humid and most importantly it’s super sunny outside! I love the summer months because the family can get out and enjoy all types of fun activities. As I’m sure you’re well aware, sunscreen must be a top priority for all family members during these particularly sunny months. SmartShield recently sent me a bottle of their all-natural, oil-free, eco-friendly SPF 30 sunscreen for review.

Last weekend we packed up the family and took a day trip to a neighboring state for a fun white water rafting trip. Sounds exciting, but my family tends to be a little more on the extreme-thrill-seekers side than the sit-back-and-enjoy-the-ride side, so the rapids we went down left a little to be desired. In any event, we were out in the sun for hours on a blistering hot day! Luckily, 3 out of the 4 family members thought up before we loaded the raft and slathered our exposed skin in SmartShield’s all natural sunscreen. Unfortunate for one of our family members, she forgot to apply sunscreen and she was deeply regretting it later. All of us who used SmartShield stayed nice and protected. I was wearing a short-sleeved wetsuit and even had some great tan lines later – pasty white shoulders and bronzed arms! It’s quite the fashion statement I’m told. Well, my one family member who did not use SmartShield was as red as a lobster by lunch time! Let’s just say she’ll be using SmartShield from now on in her days of sun exposure. I was well-pleased with the protection SmartShield provided my family that day, and the fact that it’s all-natural and eco-friendly makes it even better!

SmartShield has various other sun protection products available, including insect repellants, gels and other products for use if you do get burned, lip balms, self-tanning products and more! All are natural and eco-friendly!

As with all lotions and skin products, be sure to test for allergic reactions prior to use.

SmartShield would also like to give one Mommy PR reader a bottle to keep your family protected in an all-natural and eco-friendly way this summer! Simply follow the instructions below for a chance to win your own bottle of SmartShield sunscreen!

They sell an all-natural insect repellent with spf 30. This sounds very intriguing since traditionally the 2 products cancel themselves out. I like the sound of this company!

I learned that it absorbs Immediately as the Aloe Vera acts as a penetrating agent, which pulls the sunscreen into the skin for hours of effectiveness.

Thanks for the giveaway…SmartShield's sunscreen formula is based on a single, non-water soluble emulsifier that, when applied to cool skin, emulsifies only once. Later, if water or sweat comes into contact with the area where the sunscreen is applied, the sunscreen will not come out of the skin.
