The Happy Kid Company: Fortamajig Connectables Review & Discount

Having 2 young boys I spend a good portion of my day building forts for them.  I quickly began to tire of the blankets that would never stay in place and the frustration in my boys’ voices when mommy couldn’t come quickly enough.  I began to search for something to help us and I found the perfect solution in The Happy Kid Company:

The Happy Kid Company products are designed to engage kids and parents in creative play.  Children learn most effectively through active and constructive play that utilizes their imaginations.  Our focus is to help facilitate a dynamic environment that allows children to explore their world and encourages parents to foster their children’s healthy growth and development.

The Happy Kid Company is all about our love for creativity, having fun and raising happy, healthy children.  Our practical experience as parents, combined with our commitment to quality, help us support our goals.  We are thrilled to share our award-winning products with you.

Fortamajig Connectables:

Built out of the same durable material as the Fortamajig, Connectables are colorful panels that quickly lock together using soft fabric tabs. With Connectables, kids can create small spaces or large roaming mazes by connecting multiple panels. Kids can control the size and shape of their own creative space.

Each panel is constructed of durable material with a distinctive system of adjustable loops and fabric tabs that quickly “lock” these vibrant shapes together. Each pack comes with 6 multi-colored 33″ squares and 2 58″ long rectangles with extra loops for expandability.

Simply attach its adjustable loops to anything stable, like chair legs, door knobs, trees or fences, and start building! Use the Connectables panels with the Fortamajig or alone. This is a play space system that can grow and adapt for many different ages and abilities of children.

Used with the Fortamajig, Connectables expand the Fortamajig’s already outstanding fort building to new heights – design tunnels, rooms or mazes off the Fortamajig – inspiring ultimate imaginative expression! And just like the Fortamajig, The Connectables has no hard pieces to break or lose and is portable, washable, storable, durable and can be used indoor or outdoor! Designed for ages 3+.

Retails for $65.00

My take:  I love the Connectables….each panel is brightly colored and super easy to connect.  Initially it was a little difficult to construct the first fort because of 2 very energetic “helpful” little boys but once I got the jist of connecting the tabs we were in business.  We have built forts using the high chair, dining room chairs, doorknobs, bedposts and anything else the 4 year old deems usable.  I love the creativity these Connectables bring out with my oldest.  My little bundle of energy (the 2 year old) has rammed into the panels, marched, jumped and pretty much tried to destroy every fort we construct- no matter what he does each panel withstands his energy.  I also love how a bag is included for storage and that there is extra loops.  We love it!
