Annabel Karmel’s Mom and Me Cookbook Review & Giveaway

I recently did a review of Annabel Karmel’s book “Top 100 Finger Foods” and todayhttp://www.mommypr.com/wp-admin/edit-link-categories.php I get to tell you about another great cookbook called “Mom and Me”.  We were super excited to review this book because my girls love to cook with me and I think it is a great activity to do with your children!

First I would like to give you a little background on Annabel Karmel.  The inspiration behind Annabel’s cookbooks comes from her experience of being a mom.  She lost her daughter Natasha, who was born healthy, to a viral infection at only 13 weeks of age.  A year later her son Nicholas was born and Annabel worried about him when she couldn’t get him to eat properly.  In her quest to give him the best possible start in life she began making recipes that were homemade, delicious and healthy.  It became her goal to encourage moms to feed their babies fresh, healthy food.

Annabel Karmel now has over 17 successful cookbooks and has won numerous awards and recognitions.  She has even branched into other products which include baby foods, childrens snacks and cooking equipment.

The book I was sent for review is the “Mom and Me” Cookbook:

With basic cooking techniques and tips, simple first recipes, and tasty, nutritious meal ideas, Annabel Karmel’s new family cookbook helps children ages three and up work with their parents to prepare a yummy array of favorite foods.

-Combines the fun of cooking with a healthy food message.
-Delicious, recipes, from cookies and cupcakes to Pancakes and pizzas.
-Step-by-step instructions and charming photographs of children cooking with mom and dad.

My Thoughts: This book is full of the cutest recipes with amazing photos to go along with them.  When I looked through the book with my kids they thought the food looked not only fun to make but also fun to eat!  The recipes are laid out nicely in a format that is easy for kids to follow. Aren’t these just adorable?

We will be using this recipe for my daughters upcoming birthday party.   We are going to let the kids decorate their own cupcakes and can’t wait to see how cute they turn out!

Some of my favorites from the book include Perfect Pasta, Potato Mice and Avocado Frog Dip! Oh and the coconut dream smoothie – YUM!!  Another great cookbook by Annabel Karmel!
