Western Chief Kids: Batman Rain Gear Review

Just in time for Spring, my boys recieved Batman Rain Gear from Western Chief Kids, a division of Washington Shoe Company:

FOR MORE THAN 100 YEARS, Washington Shoe Company has been making shoes that fit people’s lives. From our rugged Western Chief work boots originally built for the Alaska gold rush to our fun and fanciful rain gear for kids, we’ve created footwear to keep people warm and dry, comfortable and stylish, safe and secure. Built with the finest materials to demanding standards, our foot-wear fits people’s needs, their pocketbooks, their lives.

Warner Bros. Consumer Products & Washington Shoe Company are unleashing the ultimate Bat-gadget this rainy season with a rain collection inspired by the favorite DC Comics Superhero, Batman.  What better way for young boys to bring their Batman powers to the streets than with a hooded rain slicker with removable cape, Batman boots and a matching Batman umbrella to hlep them take flight in ther adventures.

Mom’s can swoop up the complete Batman rain collection at Nordstrom’s nationwide as well as select specialty stores.

My take:  My boys were at daycare when I opened this package and I was immediately impressed by the quality and detail of every piece.  Since I have two boys I divided the package up to avoid fights- the youngest got the boots, the oldest the umbrella and they share the raincoat.  Our favorite- the raincoat, the boys love the cape and how when they snap the front they look like Batman.  I like how the cape detaches and how the logos glow in the dark so I know they will be safer if outside at night.  The umbrella is very easy to open and won’t pinch little fingers and the end of the spokes are covered in plastic knobs so little eyes won’t get poked.  The logo of Batman just fascinates the boys so they spend most of the time twirling the umbrella and gazing at the logo and city on the umbrella.  The boots are sturdy and very easy to put on secondary to the handles located at the top of the boots.  The 2 year old spend most of his time gazing down at Batman instead of paying attention to where he is going!

A big thanks to Team Mom!!
