Supermarket Smarty: Review and Giveaway

I am so totally a list person when it comes to grocery shopping…if I don’t have it on my list I am very likely to not buy it.  Every week I take both kids grocery shopping with me since my husband works crazy hours.  I limit my time in the store as much as I can because they tend to really whine if it takes too long.  Of course as soon as I get home from grocery shopping I realize half a dozen things I should have picked up but didn’t.

I recently came across a product called Supermarket Smarty that I think is really going to help me organize my grocery shopping.  First a little about the creator of Supermarket Smarty:

My name is Patricia and I created Supermarket Smarty. Like many moms, I do most of the grocery shopping for my family, so it’s up to me to make sure we eat healthy while staying within our budget. A couple of years ago I was having some health issues and I consulted many books and websites to adjust my diet for healthy eating. During this time, I found that I needed an easy way to remember all the important foods to include in my diet as well as the nutrition advice I was hearing on television. There is a lot of information out there, so I started a little nutrition “crib sheet” to refer to from week to week that eventually became my shopping list. The list evolved into a dry erase format so it’s reusable. I added a meal planner, pocket for coupons and a magnifying lens to help people read fine print on nutrition labels. The list has become an indispensable tool for me as it not only organizes my grocery shopping but keeps my family on track for healthy eating. I hope you find Supermarket Smarty as useful as I do and it helps you live a more balanced and healthful life!

Organizes your Grocery Shopping.

Never forget another item again! Mark items as they become depleted throughout the week then take the list with you to the supermarket. The list folds up like a pamphlet and fits neatly into a purse or jacket for easy portability.

s2

Saves you Money!

Research shows people who shop with a list and stick to it are less likely to make impulse purchases which can add 30-50% on to your grocery bill.

Makes Healthy Shopping Easy!

Smarty Symbols take the ‘guesswork’ out of healthy food shopping. The symbols highlight key nutritional benefits in a variety of foods and help you to incorporate them into your weekly grocery shopping.

Read Labels Effortlessly!

Eliminate eye strain by using the label lens (magnifying lens) embedded in the front panel to read fine print and dietary information on packaging and nutrition labels.

My take:  I love the Supermarket Smarty for several reasons!  First, I love how handy it is…there is such a large variety of choices I find myself not forgetting anything on my list…in fact I remember things I needed that I never would have come up with on my own.  The symbol key makes it so easy for me to remember to focus on the healthy items so I can make well-balanced meals.  I like how there is a place to put coupons, a whole sheet for notes and one of my most favorite is the label lens…no more squinting trying to decipher the tiny writing.
