Sleep Number Comforter Review & Giveaway

If you share your bed every evening, you may be aware of the battle of the blankets. Some couples prefer different warmth levels during the night – one person wants 4 blankets piled on top of them and the other just wants the sheet. To avoid couple’s nightly conflict and potentially disturbed sleep, the Sleep Number developed a comforter that will appease both partners!

The Sleep Number allows you to exclusively create your own comforter. The Sleep Number comforter is great because you choose your warmth level for each side of the comforter. People who prefer a lighter comforter with less warmth can choose the thinnest filling, whereas people who prefer to be bundled up and super warm during the night can choose the thickest filling. The process of creating your comforter is as easy as a couple clicks of your mouse – 1. Choose your comforter size; 2. Choose the material for your inner fillings for each side and 3. Choose your warmth levels for each side. There you have your completely customized Sleep Number Comforter!

When I receive my comforter, it came in three separate bags – one bag containing the outer comforter (much like a duvet cover) and two bags containing my warmth fillings (I have two warmth level 2 fillings). I very easily removed the contents of each bag, followed the instructions provided and in minutes had a comforter ready to be tested. Each filling must be tied into place within the comforter, and a small concealed zipper closes them into place. The process of building my comforter was quick and easy.

I am very excited to share my thoughts about this Sleep Number Comforter with you, but please remember these are only my thoughts, I am NOT a highly-qualified sleep researcher.
I can tell you with 100% honesty that when I started using the Sleep Number comforter, it was the only factor that changed with my sleep habits. I still went to bed at the same time, I still woke up at the same time, I still brought too many stresses and worries to bed with me, etc. But once I started using the Sleep Number comforter, I started sleeping better during the night. I hope I don’t sound like a cliché commercial, but I realized very quickly that I was waking up less during the night and I sleep all the way until my alarm goes off in the mornings! Before using this comforter, I would typically wake up 3-5 minutes before my alarm went off, but now my alarm is the one waking me! I already thought I was getting good night’s sleep before using the Sleep Number comforter, now I realized just how much better my sleep can be. I’m not sure if it’s because the comforter is so fluffy and relaxing, or if it’s because I can take the heavy blankets off of me and use only the comforter to achieve the same warmth levels, but whatever the reason is, I’m happy I’m sleeping so well!

The only thing I would change about this comforter is that it’s only available in white. I would have loved to choose a beige/cream color to match the décor in my room; however, I love this comforter so much that I don’t care that it doesn’t match perfectly! To prevent excess wear and tear, I covered it with a flat sheet so when my dog and cat get on the bed, they don’t leave their messes on the pristine white comforter. When I want to show off the comforter, I just remove the sheet so the white comforter shines!
