CosMedix Review & Giveaway

I was thrilled to recently receive a couple CosMedix products to review for you.  In case you aren’t familiar with them CosMedix is a leading clinic aesthetics company that provides skin care professionals and consumers with the most effective corrective products to enhance the physiology of the skin. My Thoughts: I wanted to test out the cleansing abilities so I sprayed some of this on a cotton ball after I had cleansed my skin.  No matter what type of cleanser I used this always removed a whole bunch of more dirt or left over makeup  from my skin!  I had no idea that all of my cleansers – as good as some of them are – left so much behind on my skin!  This product is actually meant to be applied to the face by patting the product on your clean skin – which I also did.  I don’t know that my skin has ever felt so clean and fresh as it does after I have applied the Purity Balance.   I did not experience any type of irritation and my skin is free of any breakouts.  If I had to come up with on word that would sum up my overall impression of this product it would be strong.  This product does exactly what is says it will do and leaves your skin feeling refreshed and super clean!   You all know how much I love a product that does double duty and with this one you can also use this product on your body to help prevent ingrown hairs (think after waxing or shaving).  (SRV $34.00)

The second product that I received is the CosMedix Rescue Balm & Mask.

This all-natural balm with cherry extracts, willow herb and shea butter works to soothe irritated and inflamed skin following resurfacing treatments. Rescue immediately calms the skin and helps accelerate post-procedure recovery, letting you achieve your new look at a faster pace.*

My Thoughts: This product can be used as a balm or a mask depending on your need.  I have not had any professional treatments that I needed to use a mask for since I received this product.  However, I did try out an enzyme peel (not CosMedix and not for review) that for some reason left me with a severely itchy nose.   After suffering with this excessive itching for a few hours I remembered that I had this rescue balm in a box on my desk.  I immediately went and pulled it out of the box to see if this was something that might help.  In desperation I opened the container and applied some to my nose.  Aaaaaahhh instant relief!!  I can see where this will be an amazing product if you accidentally get too much sun on your face this summer or have any type of irritation or inflammation.  This is a must have addition to my skin care products!
