Tropical Traditions Coconut Peanut Butter Review & Giveaway

I recently was able to try out some Coconut Peanut Butter which is a new product from Tropical Traditions!
About Coconut Peanut Butter:
“Tropical Traditions Organic Coconut Peanut Butter is made from organic peanuts and organic coconut. Two ingredients: nothing else! No fillers, no binders, no sweeteners, and no preservatives. The peanuts are 100% organic Valencia peanuts grown organically by family farmers in New Mexico and Texas. Grown in the dry climate of the southwestern United States, these peanuts are certified organic and free from aflatoxins. The dried coconut is certified organic coconut meat from the Philippines from coconuts that are grown with no fertilizers or pesticides. This premium dried coconut contains no additives or preservatives, and is not sweetened. Unlike most dried coconut on the market, our dried coconut products are not treated with sulfites to keep them white. Together, these premium organic roasted peanuts and the premium organic dried coconut are ground together to make a delicious and nutritious spread!”*
I chose this product to review mainly for my husband. He LOVES coconut and was complaining that I’ve been reviewing healthy things or anti-aging products lately and leaving him out. So I figured with this product we both win. No additives, no preservatives (and believe me we did not need preservatives because this jar did not last long at all!!) no added sweeteners – just pure delicious natural ingredients!
Before my husband could scarf down the entire jar (by spreading a big spoonful on top of a banana – which he said was absolutely to die for!) I thought we could make something for all of us to enjoy. My youngest daughter loves to help me in the kitchen so we made something that she could do with just a little assistance from me. I am not sure of a name for this so we will just call it Coconut Peanut Butter Cream “Pie”:
Ingredients (all are approximate):
2 Cups: Whipped Topping (we used the non dairy lite)
1/2 Cup: Tropical Traditions Coconut Peanut Butter
Two Handfuls: Animal Crackers
1 whole Banana
Chocolate Sauce (we used non fat)
Directions:
Place the animal crackers in a zip lock baggie and crush. (Rylee had great fun with this part!)
Line the bottom of the cup or bowl with the crushed animal crackers.
Use a beater to whip together the Coconut Peanut Butter and the whip cream until smooth and fluffy.
Spoon on top of the crushed cookie “crust”.
Slice the banana and place on top of the whipped mixture.
Add a few drops of the chocolate sauce on top and your dessert is ready to go!
Doesn’t it look so yummy? This was so easy to make and Rylee had a blast doing it. She was so proud that she made dessert all by herself and couldn’t wait for the family to try it.
We all LOVED it! It was light and fluffy with the perfect hint of coconut. It was a good thing we did not have extra because there might have been a fight over who would get to finish it!
I asked my husband his opinion of the coconut peanut butter since he has eaten the majority of the jar and here is what he had to say: “the texture is like any natural peanut butter, but i got used to it pretty quickly. The taste is delicious! I wish there was more coconut in it, but you can definitely taste the flavor of coconut. Since I ate pretty much the whole jar, you can tell I loved it and yes I would like more!”
Before the jar was completely empty I was able to sneak a quick coconut peanut butter sandwich and it was great! I loved the light coconut flavor on top of the peanut butter and it made an quick and easy protein snack for me after a really hard workout.
There are some other recipes on the Tropical Traditions site that also look delicious like the Coconut Peanut Butter Meltaways, Coconut Peanut Butter Cup Hot Coco (this looks and sounds divine!) and one I really wanted to try but we had already emptied the jar is the Roast Chicken with Coconut Peanut Butter Sauce . This looks so incredibly delicious and reminds me of some of my favorite Thai foods. This is definitely on my list to try soon!
My Thoughts: Tropical Traditions Coconut Peanut Butter scores big with my family! With its simple and natural ingredients and beyond delicious taste, I feel great about keeping this product on hand to have for a healthy and quick snack between meals and for my hubby to slather on his nightly banana! It will definitely be included on our next Tropical Traditions order!

My girls loving our Tropical Traditions Coconut Peanut Butter dessert - and the perfect bite!
