Tech4o Accelerator Watch Review & Giveaway

Do you walk the recommended 10,000 steps per day? If you are anything like me you have no idea how many steps you take in a day. When I first started out in the 90 Day Health and Fitness Challenge I didn’t have a clue how many steps I took each day. When I started following the P90X program, I purchased a heart monitor/pedometer watch so that I could optimize my workouts and track how many steps per day I was getting.
The problem was that the watch I purchased kept shutting off all the time and I would never remember to check it to make sure it was still on. In addition to that, the sleeve of my sweatshirts fell right on the reset button and so my steps were constantly being reset whenever the sweatshirt would accidentally brush against the reset button. In the entire 90 days, I never got a full days count of steps which was very frustrating.
With a large majority of my day spent in front of the computer getting any reasonable amount of steps in is challenging. Since I telecommute to my full time job, I don’t even have the walk across the parking lot or in an office during the day to count. One of my new years resolutions is to get to 10,000 steps per day on a pretty regular basis. Tech4o’s Accelerator’s Watch is going to help me reach that goal!

About Tech4o: Tech4o is dedicated to developing smart new products with the latest technology to enhance your experience. Feel the adventure with Tech4o’s products for outdoor exploration and personal performance measurement. Boundaries are broken, your soul is set free, and the pursuit is greater with Tech4o.
I was excited but skeptical to try out the Woman’s Accelerator Watch since I am so unhappy with my previous one (SmartHealth). The other one was uncomfortable and difficult to wear during my workouts since it would hurt my wrist during push-ups and some of the other exercises, not to mention the fact that I had to keep a close eye on it to make sure that it did not shut off or reset. When I received the watch from Tech4o I was pleased with the streamlined appearance. It is not as bulky as the one I was wearing before and I like the cool silver and gray tones.

The first thing I noticed once I put it on is how comfortable the watch is and how well it fits to my wrist. It was pretty easy to set up and has a lot of options for customizing the watch to your own personal settings (weight, height, age, gender, etc…). It even calibrates your walking and running stride for an even more accurate record and approximate number of calories burned! The quick start system guides you quickly through the set up and in just a matter of a few minutes you are ready to start using your Tech4o Accelerator Watch! You can also keep 10 days of workout/exercise history stored in the watch.
Here is the amazing thing – when I started using this watch to track my daily steps, I found out that I actually average about 2000 more steps (about 1 mile) per day than the highest I had tracked on my other watch! This means that I am up to about 6000 steps per day on average! I still need to fit in another two miles or 4000 steps each day to hit my resolution and the recommended 10,000 steps per day but I am so much closer than I thought!
I also hopped on the treadmill so that I could test out the accuracy of my new Tech4o Women’s Accelerator Watch and it is tracking right on! I am super excited to start out the new year with this comfortable, accurate and easy to use watch, that I just know is going to help me reach my goals!
So lets start out 2010 right with goals for a healthy year for the whole family! You can make step counting a fun family goal by using the Webwalking USA Walking Program and track your progress across the country. Your whole family can enjoy this webwalking adventure together as you log your miles and along the American Discovery Trail. The trail winds 5048 miles from Delaware to California through great river valleys, over the Rockies and Sierra Nevada, to the ocean near San Francisco.
