EA Play (Electronic Arts): My Sims Agents for the Wii – Review

In MySims Agents players take on the role of a special agent hired to foil the sinister plans of Morcubus, lord of the criminal underworld. By recruiting different MySims, each with their own special characteristics, players can build up their very own crime-busting dream team. From tracking footprints and using forensics to picking locks, hacking into computers, following leads and collecting clues, players must rely on their wits, skills and trusty gadgets to piece together the clues to solve the mystery. Jump aboard the jet to reach an ancient temple, a spooky mansion or an icy mountaintop chalet in search of clues that lead players closer to the sinister Morcubus. Return from the adventure with cool treasures that players can use to construct and customize their headquarters and make it their own.
Who hasn’t at one time in their lives imagined that they are a secret agent? MySims Agents transports you into the world of make believe mysteries! As a MySims Agent you will track and solve cases, build your own investigative team and explore exotic locations!
We were excited to receive MySims Agents, for the Wii, to review and the kids and I had great fun creating our characters and getting started in the business of investigation! Let me warn you that this game can be addictive, especially if you enjoy puzzles and mysteries! This game was best for my older daughter (she is 10) only because you have to read everything. Not that my 6 year old did not enjoy it because she sat with us for over an hour while I read her the storyline as it was carried out. She just could not play it by herself without knowing what the characters were saying.
I have to admit that after the kids went to bed, I got back on My Sims Agents so that I could solve a few more mysteries by myself! I was so excited to show my kids that I had earned my own headquarters – and even got to the point where I could start recruiting additional agents to join my team!
Each case seems to get a bit more detailed and complicated. The first one was a dog napping case, and then we had to find out who had sent flowers as a secret admirer and the next one was tracking down some stolen maps and solving a fire mystery.
Here are a few screen shots that I would like to share with you:

My 10 year old daughter recently had a sleepover party and we discussed Wii games with the girls. MySims Agents ranked high among them as one of the family favorites. It is also a great game to play when you are all sore from the sports games, because it provides a less active game experience and focuses more on developing critical thinking skills.
MySims Agents is available for the Wii or Nintendo DS platforms and is produced under the EA Play Label, which means that this game can be enjoyed by all ages, children to seniors!
My Thoughts: A great family game, MySims Agents can be played solo or together as a family. My girls enjoyed the storyline and also had a great time trying to find the clues to solve the cases. I definitely recommend this game for times when you just don’t feel up to battling it out with boxing or sword fighting. Also great for when you need your children to be quiet and occupied for a while so that you can get something done!

This game sounds great. My sons would really love this game. They love anything to do with mysteries and solving type games and would really love this game. It really sounds like a lot of fun. I love your review on this game. Thanks so much.
Cool – I didn’t know there was a demo at their site. This would go over really well with my kid. She’s been into mysteries lately.
I will have to check out the demo.
This sounds like a game my two boys would enjoy playing. Thanks for the great review!
would love to challenge hubby with this – maybe the kids can play too!

I have MySims (original) and MySims Kingdom, but this game is supposed to be better. I like that there’s, like, a real gaming plot, something to truly achieve, rather than just playing for ranks.
I would love to win this for my nephews
I would love to win this for my son. He loves all the Sims games.

My son loves the Sims games. I read the review to him and he told me to rate it with four stars!
I know my daughter would love this wii game because she loves anything to do with sims. Weather it’s Sims 2 or 3 or the wii’s version of sims. I like the idea of this game because of the developing critical thinking skills that you mentioned in your review. I feel that this is a very important skill to learn for anyone, girls or boys. Thanks for the giveaway!
I would love to win this Wii game for myself. The only games I have so far are the Wii Fit and Wii Trainer. I like mysteries and I think would be a really fun game to play. Thanks for the opportunity
My three boys would love this game for their Wii
I love any Sims game. This would be an awesome addition to an already impressive collection. (Oh yeah, my daughter would probably love to play too)
I like the Sims games and 007, so this game is the best of both worlds. Please accept my entry. Thank you.
great reveiw, really wnats me to win this for me and my little fam!
thanks!
This would be a great game for my grandkids!
I would like to win this game for my little brothers. They both have disabilities, but they enjoy playing video games and this one sounds like it has some puzzles that will make them think more than some of the other games they play.
My 8 yr old would LOVE this, he has a couple of other My Sims games and LOVES them!
my niece would love this one!
This was a tough call because my 10 year old also loves LPS turtles and dogs(He has two alter egos kinda based on those two creatures. Speedy the turtle loves pie and Max the dog eats mashed potatoes -no gravy). However since last year when my son really started paying attention to the show Burn Notice, he has decided he wishes to be a spy, like Michael Weston. I also think this game has enough in it that it wouldn’t bore my 12, 15, or even on a silly day my 17 year old. So this was the game I chose to try and win.
