Bistro MD Diet: Update 2

I’m rounding out week 3 on my Bistro MD diet and it’s going great! I admit that I haven’t been doing as much working out as I had originally planned, but I manage to take a brisk walk for 15-20 minutes at least 4-5 times a week. It’s not a whole lot, but it’s moving and burning more calories than sitting on my bum!

Only a few days ago I found out that a good friend from college is getting married in May. I want to be able to dress up to look good for her wedding and feel great in front of so many college friends! Since this recent wedding news, I’ve starting kicking my diet up a notch and getting really serious about losing weight. I have a couple tips for those that are also really serious about losing weight in a really easy, no-fuss way.

First of all, you have to be able to plan time in your day for working out in some fashion. With this wedding as my motivation, I’ve found that I’m walking faster and covering more ground in the same amount of time. Find your motivation and think about it as you get dressed in your workout clothes and during your work out. I find that I push myself more when I’m daydreaming about how fantastic I’ll look in a new dress!

On the Bistro MD diet, I highly recommend getting one of the 7 day meal plans. I’m currently reviewing the 5 day meal plan with 2 snacks a day. I find that during the week I do great about staying away from tempting foods since I know that I’ll soon be eating tasty, fulfilling, gourmet meals from Bistro MD. But on the weekends without my Bistro MD crutch, I tend to overeat and indulge in overly fattening foods. So for the serious weight losers (or those without chocolate control like me), choose the 7 day meal plan for maximum weight loss!

Also, you may consider ditching the 2 daily snacks. Don’t get me wrong – I LOVE the snacks Bistro MD provides! I’ve tried soy snacks, protein shakes, and other snack foods that I would never have looked at twice sitting on the grocery store shelf. The Bistro MD snacks are full of protein, low in calories and fat, and keep hunger at bay until the next meal. But over the past couple of weeks I’ve missed a couple of my snacks (got stuck in a long meeting at work, forgot to pack my snacks for the day, etc) and I find that I DO get hungry without my snacks, but I also find that I lose an extra .5 or 1 pound throughout the day! That’s amazing!

I promise I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the easiest and tastiest diet I’ve ever been on. And with the variety, customizing options, and support from Bistro MD it makes losing weight easy!

About the Author

My name is Megan and I’m a unique reviewer for Mommy PR – I don’t have any kids yet, but one day I hope to. The majority of my days are spent at my 9 to 5 day job and I spend most of my evenings in culinary school! In September 2012 I will graduate as a pastry chef. Even though work and school consume most of my time, I enjoy spending any and all free time in the kitchen baking up something delicious and fattening. My other favorite activies include traveling and working out.
