ThinkGeek JetBib Review & Giveaway

ThinkGeek started as an idea. A simple idea to create and sell stuff that would appeal to the thousands of people out there who were on the front line and in the trenches as the Internet was forged. ThinkGeek started as a way to serve a market that was passionate about technology, from programmers, engineers, students, lovers of open source, to the masses that helped create the behind-the-scenes Internet culture.
Today ThinkGeek carries unique products that appeal to people from all walks of life. There is something for everyone here and it is just plain fun browsing around their site and reading up on what ThinkGeek is all about. Check out their About Us section to see what it is that makes them stand out. I was so impressed with their writer and am even more so now that I have discovered that he is so unique you are just going to have to check him out for yourself – I’m afraid you just wouldn’t believe me if I told you myself! Go see Cisco Systems (the Systems is silent by the way – it’s no wonder my daughter finds English such a confusing language!)
Imagine my great surprise when I went to the door one day to get my deliveries and there was a package from ThinkGeek. Hmmmm…. I wonder what this could be? Opening the box did absolutely nothing to clear up my confusion because the box contained this:

The girls of course squabbled as usual over who was going to get this little gem when I was done reviewing it. With a furrowed brow, I contemplated the scene before me and finally broke in… “Don’t be silly girls, obviously this is for your father!” That stopped them dead in their tracks, let me tell you! Now that the squabblers were thrown into utter silence I could actually tell them that it must have been sent by accident. So I emailed right away and got back the response that indeed they did intend to send me this super cool JetBib for review. This works out to be incredibly awesome for me, as I have the most adorable grandson that will absolutely love this gift from Grandma (if you are thinking that I am way too young to be a grandmother, let me just assure you that you are 100% correct)!
Now that your confusion is completely cleared up let me get to this JetBib! What you have here is a fabulous invention! From this point on you do not have to pretend that your hand is an airplane or a bumble bee, instead of bzzzzzz…. BZZZZzzzzzzzz…. bzzzzzzzzzing food to your little one, you may now transport the nourishment via JET Airplane!!!! Yes it’s true, this one of a kind Illuminated JetBib is a ThinkGeek exclusive and they are thrilled to introduce their new creation to you!

The Illuminated JetBib from ThinkGeek Labs will revolutionize the lives of pilots trying to make that ever-elusive landing. Let’s talk about the upgrades to your plane first. After all, that’s what you’ll be flying several times a day in an attempt to deliver nutrition to its destination. Gone are the days of the boring silver plane. Enter the Jetliner OmNomNom with its sleek yellow and blue body, ready to transport your delicious deliveries from the land of Gerber. Flashing red lights on the tips of your wings will ensure that the control tower at Gaping Baby Maw sees you coming (although they’re not known for compliance there, so don’t get your hopes up!). As the ground beneath the Maw shakes, rattles and rolls, the lights on runway 42 illuminate, bright as day, guiding you in for a safe landing. So fly on, brave Parental Pilot, and let the red LEDs of runway 42 guide your way.

My thoughts: What could be more fun for mealtime that this Illuminated JetBib? I think Rylee was crushed when I told her we were going to be giving this to Cam. “AWWWW but Mom, this is so cool! I wish I was a baby so that I could keep it! Why can’t I?” Indeed why can’t she? Would you think anything of a 6 1/2 year old wearing a JetBib, sitting in a booth next to you at your local Chinese restaurant? This JetBib gets two thumbs up from all of us! If you are looking for a unique fun gift for a little one in your life, you couldn’t go wrong with this for a gift! Who wouldn’t be thrilled to accept their yummy dinner directly from the flight deck of this jetliner? For that matter, what parent wouldn’t be thrilled to do the piloting?
Breanna also received the JetBib here are her thoughts: My son LOVES the JetBib set! Although he hates bibs and won’t wear them (he is 2 now), he has been leaving this one on since it lights up and goes with his airplane spoon. I think he is having a hard time just using the airplane as a spoon…he is playing with it and his other airplanes right now as I type this! He loves that it lights up. What a cool way to make eating more fun for your kids! Think Geek has the coolest ideas ever! I love it!
Buy It: You can purchase the Illuminated JetBib directly from the ThinkGeek website. In fact this JetBib normally goes for $24.99 but right now you can get 20% off and pay only $19.99!
