SpellQuizzer Review & Giveaway – Winner Announced

I was recently offered the opportunity to review SpellQuizzer Spelling Software which is a spelling program that was developed to help kids learn their spelling and vocabulary words.
I tried out the spelling software with my 9 year old using her spelling and vocabulary words from last weeks list. The program is very simple to use and we easily figured out how to load her spelling list for the week.

The first thing you do is type in the spelling word and then you record yourself saying the word. One nice feature is that there is a built in spellchecker that warns you if you happen to enter a word that is spelled incorrectly. This happened to us several times, since my daughter was typing in the words herself.
Once we had the list ready all we had to do was let her go ahead and start the quizzing. She moved quickly through the list of words and within a matter of probably about 10 or 15 minutes she pretty much had all the words down! It was pretty funny because she used different tones in her voice when she said the words and we both got a kick out of hearing her silly voice saying the words for the test! A side benefit to this spelling program is that it also helped her with her typing skills.
SpellQuizzer has prerecorded downloadable spelling lists available on their site and are in the process of creating more. You can also easily import and export spelling lists to share with other SpellQuizzer users.
Do you homeschool your children? If you do there is a page on their site that is specifically directed toward homeschoolers. Click here to go to the page. The import/export feature also makes it easy for homeschool groups to share their lists without everyone having to record their own lists individually.
If you would like to see a video demonstration of how to create a spelling list click here. There are several other video’s you can view as well.
My Thoughts: I like the program and my daughter enjoyed using it. It was a big time saver for me because I didn’t have to stand there and quiz her like I usually do. I helped her load the list, but after the first time she will be more than capable of creating her own. I haven’t seen her test results yet, but I will be very surprised if she didn’t get 100%. Overall I think the program is great and will be a valuable addition to our homework routine.
Buy It: You can purchase a download of SpellQuizzer Spelling Software directly on their site www.spellquizzer.com. You can even download a free trial version here. The full program is available for $29.95 and is offered with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

SpellQuizzer corrects him when he types in a word incorrectly, and re-quizzes him on any words he missed once the first pass is completed.
This would be for all my kids, especially my 8 year old right now. I think that it would make spelling a lot of fun for her while she learns
