MacSpeech Dictate Review

MacSpeech is the ultimate program for all Mac users. As many Mac addicts would know, the built in Text-To-Speech function is great, but is nothing compared to the greatness of Speech-To-Text technology. This is exactly what MacSpeech does: take what you say and types it for you, to save you the trouble. One of great advantages is if you have hand written a paper or notes, you can immediately type into any program that you can type into, whether this be Word, the built in Note Pad, your internet provider, email, or even a chat service.

In the package, it includes two CDs needed for installation (you don’t have to put the CD in every time you care to use it, only upon installing!) a quick start-up guide, and a complimentary headset that connects right into your USB port of your Mac. This insures that MacSpeech will hear you correctly.

MacSpeech is also very fun. After receiving it, my sister decided to play “Telephone” with it, saying a sentence, then saying what it typed, but because it was so accurate, she had to say it in a different accent each time. It entertained my 17-year-old sister for hours that she should have been working on her essay.

deal for College students too, as you can imagine. It works well with any assignment, essays, homework, and even taking getting words from a book into your computer. MacSpeech is a great gift for almost any person in high school, middle school, adults, and anyone with a Mac practically. This is a great Christmas gift, and for any other time too.
