Peter Pauper Press: Holiday Kits Review & Giveaway

book2-vert

Now for the third and final installment of  Peter Pauper Press holiday gifts. This time around I have some really great Holiday Kits from  Peter Pauper Press:

PETER PAUPER PRESS, founded in 1928, is poised to begin its eighth decade as one of America’s leading publishers of fine gift books, humor books, compact references, travel guides, unique journals, quality stationery, holiday cards, and innovative children’s activity books. We publish approximately 100 books and ancillary products per year.

The Little Snowman Kit:

The hardcover book The Little Snowman is full of creative, crafty ideas to help you rescue Christmas from commercialism. Great ideas for ornaments, festive tables, presents and all-new traditions. Kit includes 80-page book, foam disks, pipe cleaners, and beads to make your very own snowman. Kit measures 3-1/2″ wide x 4-1/2″ high x 1-1/2″ deep.  Retails for $7.95.

The Magic Christmas Tree Kit:

Christmas trees light up your life. Why not grow your own? This kit includes the materials to grow a magic crystal tree right before your twinkly eyes! The Merry Christmas Tree book included explores the history of this time-honored tree tradition, while offering fun and fabulous decorating tips and craft ideas for giving your tree that personal touch. Kit includes The Merry Christmas Tree book and Magic Crystal Growing Tree.  Retails for $7.95.

The Merry Christmas Tree Kit:

Christmas trees light up your life. Why not grow your own? This kit contains seeds and peat moss to get you started. The Merry Christmas Tree book included tells you all you need to know about tree decorating. It also explores Christmas flowers, plants, crafts, and treats, and includes fabulous ideas for giving your tree that personal touch. Kit includes 80-page book, seeds, and peat moss to grow your own Christmas tree. Kit measures 3-1/2″ wide x 4-1/2″ high x 1-1/2″ deep.  Retails for $7.95.

The Christmas Origami Kit:

Bring the ancient art of origami into your home for the holidays. The 80-page hardcover book, Christmas Origami, includes complete instructions for six decorations, from a heavenly angel to a traditional peace crane, and the kit includes 24 sheets of designer paper. Origami creations can be used as gift tags, place cards, or ornaments, for a touch of homespun cheer. Kit measures 3-1/2″ wide x 4-1/4″ high x 1-1/2″ deep.  Retails for $7.95.

My take:  I love anything and everything that allows me to make crafts with my children.  They got such a kick out of the snowman and Christmas tree kits!  Everything was included and all were very easy to use.  I am saving the origami kit for a Christmas present for a family member but I keep eyeing it so it may end up mine!  The illustrations/examples are simple and easy to understand.

Peter Pauper Press has generously offered 4 lucky MommyPR readers a chance to own one of the Holiday Kits.  (Each kit will be given away once, 1st winner 1st choice, etc).
